I recently re-watched some clips of Monsters University and in some ways I think I like it more than Monsters Inc. I like a lot of the new characters, specially Dean Hardscrabble.

I never did see it, but I loved Monsters Inc. as a kid, same with the likes of Finding Nemo.

If you are already tired of "fraternity films" or if you are not a fan of that kind of movies, then I would not recommend to watch it; however if that's not the case and you really like the world of Monsters Inc. it might be worth the watch.

I admit I was once a Disney fan. :| Well, despite my lack of interest on Disney, I'm currently interested on Pixar's earliest short film:

It's called "The Adventures of André and Wally B." and it has received mixed reviews as of 2020, due it has been praised for its graphics (which were advanced during the 1980's) and it has been criticized for its plot. :|

Although this sounds paradoxical (in terms of interest), it seems that this short film is overcoming my trauma little by little... :|

I was not aware of this short film. I don't like the character design and that Donald Duck laugh, but it looks pretty impressive for something that was created in the 80s. It also kind of reminded me of Insektors, an animated series that I used to watch when I was a kid.

Sometime ago I watched some clips of the new Monsters at Work series and I don't think I like the new monsters. Also, it is kind of weird that an evil Mike clone came out of nowhere.

I didn't even know that was a thing! Is it a 2D or 3D style series?

It is 3D and takes place between Waternoose getting arrested and that moment when Sully reunited all the pieces to reopen Boo's door.

Oh wow, sounds like a lot of effort went into it then...

But an evil Mike clone? Like, why?

Maybe, because of the absence of Randall and Waternoose, the writters thought that a new antagonist was needed. From what I've seen, there is no real villain in this series, just characters that have minor antagonistic roles (like the investigator or that monster that wants to take over as leader of the Monster Inc. Facilities Team).

Wait it's coming October? It feels like it was only very recently officially announced...

I've barely seen anything Disney this year, had zero interest in Snow White or Stitch, haven't gotten round to seeing Elio. I watched Inside Out 2 last year and that might have been the last Disney thing I saw in theatres I guess.

As a Tron fan, we know that it was officially announced in 2022.

But the first teaser is barely three months old indeed. That's how they market movies nowadays it seems. Unless it's a huge blockbuster it gets a sneaky release.

(That's what happened to the Wild Robot anyway. Shame, that was a great flick)

Yeah Wild Robot was a surprisingly well done film, I'm sad I didn't watch it when it released in cinemas.

I am surprised Tron is a sneaky release though, it's a far more culturally popular film I'd think.

I honestly don't think so.

It was in Disney's radar to become the flagship sci-fi series in 2012, but weeks later Disney bought Star Wars and everything went out the window.

It was always niche tbh

So, Tron was going to be for Disney the same that Concord was going to be for PlayStation?

Well Tron ain't bad at all, it's an interesting concept.

Walt Disney was kinda antisemitic
