Up to like 2MP on webcams versus 12+ MP on digital cameras. Their only real use (and what they're really intended for) is live web conferencing with other people, a recent form of communication that hasn't really taken off yet.

I have a webcam but it is very blurry. :/ I'm sure Hoodcom and others remember the blurryness, lol.

Haha, I didn't even know sound could be recorded from webcams.

Indeed, plus it isn't only the resolution that matters.

I get smoother video with the video feature on my (now-dead, had it since 2004) digital camera than with the webcam, as well as far better clarity. Video blogging and stuff like that, I still recommend cameras with video functions.

Took a couple of "Winter Wonderland" pics while walking home from school today.





And this amount of snow is peanuts compared to what we had right after New Years Eve. I have some pics from back then too, but they were taken at night, so the quality isn't as good.
