Maybe the release of a PC version means that the UbiArt framework will also be released soon - maybe even along with Rayman Origins, so you can mod it. I surely hope so!

it seems with Origins release, Ubi seems to be attempting a proper revival of the series.
Ubi loves us*
Is a better way to put it.

I don't really think Ubi loves us. Ubi loves their reputation. Keeping Ancel and giving a certain priority to his games gives them that reputation. Otherwise he would have been thrown out a long time ago since his games cost money to make and don't sell much nowadays (compare the sales from Rayman Origins and Beyond Good & Evil to Assassin's Creed and Prince of Persia games).

I agree. While Ubisoft may be one of the single most successful video game companies in the world, possibly
the most successful one currently, they are quite stuck up and they hardly care about their community (especially when compared with other companies).

I doubt they would let you mod Origins, it's not a Ubisoft thing to do.

Once again, Rayman is going to be ported to a bunch of consoles...with the game changed each time.
I wonder how long they'll drag this prevalent porting process on for? It'll be a challenging trial to triumph over the endlessly transported Rayman 2...which is already chilling on the same disk as Origins, trickily enough.

Before I forget, this was the official Rayman Origins twitter account's reply to those who asked about online co-op...
It's local only unfortunately, with 4 controllers. But it's really much more fun with your friends right next to you!
Ahem?
So, those PC players without a controller to connect to their computer will be playing this alone?

For me it isn't matter because i have the PS3 version, but a lot of PC players will be dissapointed. A negative point to Ubisoft.

The fact that it's local only (not even LAN) means we won't be able to "fake" online multiplayer like we did for Rayman Arena. We'll have to come up with another way...
It would be nice if we could somehow make one player host a game and let other players join in by showing them the host's screen and letting their keyboard work as some sort of "remote controller" for certain keys on the host's computer. That would allow us to fake online multiplayer for both Rayman Origins and Rayman M. That solution has some serious drawbacks though...

Still got to buy a new comp, but I'll probably buy the PC version just to check it out. I said it would come within six months to one year, looks like the poor sales accelerated things!

I think they should include co-op on the PC version, because you CAN run more than one game controller on the PC, and LAN option would be a fair option to include too, if not internet hosting for friends over the internet.

I don't know why they want to remove ( or not put in ) the co-op option, they even put a multiplayer to Rayman M, then why can't Rayman Origins have such a mode?

Probably because the M in Rayman M stands for Multiplayer and a game named 'Multiplayer' without the multiplayer in it would be quite... odd? I do see your point though - they should try to add a nice co-op nonetheless.
It would be great if they released the UbiArt Framework at the same ti--
HOLY smoke I just had a thought spark: Custom. Rayman Origins. Maps. With the ability to do
aaaaall the things the developers could, ranging from Tricky Treasure levels to boss levels and a level-chain (multiple interlinked levels part of, say, a storyline). This would be a move for the skies.

PC version? impressive, Ubisoft, well played! Now let's wait for Rayman Origins 2...
I don't think the 3ds version has no multiplayer just because it wasn't mentioned, actually, the screenshots show multiplayer gameplay.

That would be a bit weird. They should at least give it a decent name if they ever decide to do that.

I'm not sure what you're talking about as co-op was confirmed for PC. Just no LAN or online modes...

Was it confirmed? Well, I wasn't sure because everyone here were talking it wasn't.

I thought that i read somewhere that Ubi don't put co-op in to PC. And you said that they should include it to the PC version, now you're saying it was confirmed.

I just hoped that they include the co-op mode.

I said they should include online (over the internet) or LAN (over a local network of computers) co-op. The PC version won't have online or LAN co-op, just local (one computer only) co-op.

I'm assuming you MUST use game controllers to make it work, right? At least for two or more people?

Indeed. Maybe the first player can use simply a keyboard while the second uses a controller.
