< thought Tomorrowland was pretty flawed, but surprisingly < actually did like the sort of unexpected twist on Tomorrowland itself.
< just finished the most successful game of Mario Party < ever played. It was pretty much an instant win from the third turn.
< finds Amiibo Party much more enjoyable than the rubbish car modes, but it does leave < wishing < was playing one of the older games instead,

Re: The You Game!
< was expecting Tomorrowland to be a bunch of fluffy, censored Disney cheese, and while there was some of that, < was pleasantly surprised with how seriously it took itself. < thought one of the biggest issues was the soundtrack, which, typical of live-action Disney, is too focused on trying to achieve magnitude-eleven whimsy. Overall, < liked it a lot, as < can easily correct its flaws in <'s head.

Yeah I guess so, < thinks there's probably a lot < missed but < couldn't make any sense of it at all, < couldn't really pick up on any discernible plot either.Imco wrote:Haha, well < thinks the exact opposite of this movie haha. Opinions can differ < susupposes.
< watched Big Hero 6 just a couple of hours ago though and really liked it, < expected most of it to just be "random supervillain wants to destroy earth because who cares and random boy gets mutated by toxic waste and gets super powers somehow insert comedy here blah blah blah" but it actually did make sense (for the most part) and was just generally really good.
It's surprising actually because < normally loves sci-fi movies like Tomorrowland and < doesn't like superhero movies…

What did ^ think of the beginning versus the superhero portion? < loved the beginning, but < thought the superhero portion for the most part was really bland, especially when you compare it to the kinds of things the Marvel movies have been doing recently. It was just so... unoriginal.Ambidextroid wrote:< watched Big Hero 6 just a couple of hours ago though and really liked it, < expected most of it to just be "random supervillain wants to destroy earth because who cares and random boy gets mutated by toxic waste and gets super powers somehow insert comedy here blah blah blah" but it actually did make sense (for the most part) and was just generally really good.

< can't really speak from experience as < hasn't seen many superhero films (probably about 4 or 5) but < did think it was pretty cheesy.Adsolution wrote:What did ^ think of the beginning versus the superhero portion? < loved the beginning, but < thought the superhero portion for the most part was really bland, especially when you compare it to the kinds of things the Marvel movies have been doing recently. [spoiler: < thought the twist of who the villain was was pretty good though, as < thought it would just be Krei all along, then when it was Callaghan < thought Krei would turn out to be innocent, but it turns out they were both pretty bad.] It's nice that they kind of thought about giving the villain a real motive instead of just wanting power or money etc. or whatever else Disney usually do (or used to from what < can remember).
< did prefer the beginning portion too and would have liked to see a bit more, but < still found the whole thing enjoyable.

< Is feeling like < might want to 're-brand' <'s self when it comes to this forum < feels that 'rolesfamily' isn't really a true reflection of <. When 'rolesfamily' was becoming infamous on the Rayman Zone he (aka me, aka <) was a very young kid and quite possibly the biggest noob on the planet. Oh, < approves if it's just shortening it or whatever, as long as it's not changed completely (which makes it very confusing).
< was considering changing <'s general handle to Ambi but, even though < likes it, it's not that original.

Re: The You Game!
< quite likes 'Roles' as a username, < likes usernames that are single words or are apparently meaningless because they could feasibly be names. By the way, what does the 'family' bit mean?

Re: The You Game!
< Came up with <'s username because at the time < had ambitions of becoming super rich and owning multiple Rolls' Royces and thus they'd be a 'Rolls family' but since < was pretty retarded back in the day < didn't bother to look up the spelling of 'Rolls Royce' and ended up with Roles Royce <'s username should have been rollsfamily but the bad spelling stuck (as with all of my posts too LOL)
