Yaaay Droolie, my hero! Now I can play around even more with Origins sprites until I have lovely compositions. So the Magician does actually have a magic cane - I guess I did a good job inventing one out of two other sprites then. ;)

Thank you Droolie! :D

By the way, I also read somewhere that RO for PC will be available for purchase in STEAM.

*Wants to continue to play the Wii version but school doesn't let me :pascontent:*

Good job for using Mediaƒire, I think that site will now be getting lots of pleasant attention after the MegaUpload incident. I only hope it doesn't turn into a MegaUpload.

I was thinking,
The electoons are the stuff of BD/Polokus's dreams, they help BD/Polokus recuperate from nightmares.
In the first game, they gravitated around the great protoon, perhaps giving an opposite "charge" to keep the world stable and balanced to not fall into a disrepair similar to that which would occur if BD/Polokus had nightmares.
The lore states that BD/Polokus went in a deep sleep, which presumably was still in place during Rayman 1.
GIven the way the electoons are connected to both the Bubble Dreamer and The Great Protoon, is it possible that the Protoon fulfilled BD's/Polokus's role in his absence?

It’s a lot simpler to assume that the Great Protoon is just the Heart of the World.

+1

I've always believed that both objects are the same thing: the colours, the shapes, the behaviour and the functions do are similar among themselves.

AAAGH! I've been trying to download the latest texture pack but it's been stuck on 78% for about half an hour or so now :pascontent:
I'm really hoping it's not died on me, as it took ages to get this far. I was hoping on seeing the files tonight :(. Oh, and good luck with extracting the pre-loaded files and whatever gold mines lie with in!

Oh yeah, and 172 Electoons. Yeah, pretty naff I know - but I've been busy with other stuff too, mainly school junk, creativity and more school junk :P

Eh, thanks to me there will now be a reference to Rayman in the next issue of the school magazine ;)

EDIT: I cancelled the download and started a new one, and it finished fine :D - I really like the sprites in this one! As Mr. Dark Thingamajig (still the best username ever ;)) said earlier, that strawberry half platform is an unused sprite right there!

Lucky you! I'm trying to get the "beat the time" Electoons now! That factory machine place is annoying!

Yep, Moskito sequences and some other levels, Baby Dragon Waiters use strawberries as trampolines.

By the way, I just managed to extract the archive with preloaded files. It has some extra sound effects, all the missing textures and a possibly different script file. I'll upload everything tonight (in a few hours). ;)

Tell me, what are you doing with these textures? Why do you extract them?

Oooooh sounds good!

Btw is the dark/evil moskito thing still in there? (not in the game but maybe in the files)

Some users can use them to make signatures. Me? I use them to make artworks for the wiki..... and to make my signature.

And I can incorporate them into ROTD, which is especially useful when importing things such as animated smoke and fire effects.

I do it because I can.

Nope, sorry (at least I didn't see it anywhere).
The files will be up soon! The textures so far are really interesting. A scrapped gold fist powerup, a scrapped extra life, etc. :)

Wow, I want to see those scrapped stuff. They would be interesting infos to add in the RayWiki.
