Well, LAN webs were more popular in America than in Europe (currently, it's the other way, as far I know).

Nah they just downloaded into your memory card and you would load them the same way you'd load a main game file.

Globox Disc, which is unlocked after collecting all 6 crystals. It's also found in Rayman Revolution.
