I at the moment have an illegal version of the CryEngine3 Crysis 2 Editor which is buggy and you can't do a whole lot, but it was officially announced two days ago that in June/July an official Crysis 2 Editor comes out, and then in August, a full CryEngine 3 with no limitations will be coming out to the public. That's something with the freedom I will have never experienced before.

Also a new soundtrack part 13 will be coming out soon.

I'm very glad I'll be able to hear a new track soon, but do you really need to focus on the music so early ?

Ill give you two points:

1) I decided to hold off the in-depth game design until CryEngine3 gets released or until there's enough info on it in case their's compatibility issues.

2) I design the music usually first because it helps paint the picture of my level and it gives me direction and atmosphere.

Also anyone can try the voice acting, just say "I'm (character) from Rayman Revenge of the Dark" in the tones listed.

What do you mean by soon?

Soon meaning I've written all six tracks for this part and recorded/produced four of them. And they have a lot of work put into them. If you thought the last soundtrack video was a quality jump, then see this one. I've composed the final menu opening theme music, for real this time. The original one had been moved to the credits theme and replaced in part 8. Now I'm moving the part 8 one to the Memory Realm (level selection).

I guess feeling proactive makes soon right about... now:

1. "The Ice Volcano: Rising Rain" - 0:00
2. "The Shrine of Myer: Dusk Arrival" - 1:35
3. "The Shrine of Myer: Sundial" - 2:07
4. "Main Menu Opening Theme" - 4:05



Use 720p for the best result of course!

Coming up with a name for The Shrine of Myer was quite hard, but in the end it turned out quite well. One of the definitions of "Myer" is a personality/emotion/sanity test, and this Shrine will screw with your mind in many ways relevant.

The menu opening theme is what replaces the music in the video that goes along with it where I originally used a Danny Elfman piece. I spent a LONG time on it, trying to get it to sound as perfect, magical, and authentic as possible.

I found Rising Rain slightly boring.
Dusk Arrival sounds good ! Not much to say since it's so short though.
Sundial is very relaxing, very nice.
The opening is really great, my favourite ! I love it.
