So? Simply because our parents provide for us doesn't mean there won't be issues between us and them. You are simplifying the relationship between parents and children.spiraldoor wrote:This thread is nothing but people moaning about their parents, who are still providing for them in every case.
One shouldn't ignore their own problems that rise up and say "I'm sorry father" and hold the emotions inside. That's stupid as fuck. So is the "We're your parents, we deserve respect" shit if they don't even give you any at all in the first place. It's a two way street.
We should have gratitude for them providing for us, that I understand. But sometimes even as a kid you have to put your foot down in respect to how you are being treated.

Also, your post isn't very helpful to people really having problems with their parents (or anything else that can be worrying any of us) and it isn't welcoming to those that come here to share things off of their chest. (Not that we should be sugar coating stuff or going AWWW but you get the idea) It'll hurt others because they might be afraid to post what they think. So if you don't have any stressful things to talk about, or any advice/help/critique to show in this thread, then please get the fuck out of it until you do. This post just pisses me off a bit.
