No, I've just seen it that, at least where I live, 21 is where you can finally do whatever you feel like. (People under 21 aren't allowed to step foot inside the bar area of a local bowling alley/pub except without special reason for example, even though they're pretty good about it.) 18 is where almost anything is at your disposal, mostly because your parents are no longer responsible for you and you take full credit for anything you do. For this reason though, I have started to see 18-year-olds as pretty much full-blown adults and can kind of call the privilege difference minor at best, so my opinions have changed more towards eliminating the "young adult" thing and simply calling 18 and up adulthood.

Then I suppose I must have an odd tone, because I can't get it to rhyme. ;_;

Aww, shucks guys.

It's been good so far, the ladies at work got me a nice bunch of flowers, I got loads of birthday cash because I didn't want many small presents, and I look forward to having my Nintendo DS cake. =D
Thank you everyone!

you know, 'w' when said as a letter is said to be 'double-u' (because that's what it looks like).

I've always wondered why it wasn't double-V.

well, it depends on how its written, but i usually see 'w' (not capital) written with a curved bottome rather than a point.

My writing is quite unreadable so I don't even care.

I will be 18 in 3 months. It only seems like yesterday that I was celebrating my 17th birthday!
