I hate Java so much. I'm glad Game Maker is a C-based language and that its introducing me into the world of programming that way has helped me greatly. Lua's a pretty fun language too, which I've used to program Mining Turtles in Minecraft's ComputerCraft mod.
I heard Java's a good language, but the way it handles things... just... ugh.
Why? Java is by far the easiest language I know for complex programs, and although it could be better in the speed department, I use it all the time when I'm not making Dreambound or anything that needs to be heavily optimized. It is definitely one of the best ways to be introduced to the world of programming, and thanks to the Java Virtual Machine it runs on practically everything without the need for recompiling. :P

- I was forced to lock a topic for the first time ever.
- I have a headache now.

I just read the whole discussion and I think you acted wisely.
I would have done exactly the same, but then again, that's easy to say

Eh, I personally think it was a nasty collection of semen-encrusted fecal matter that was going to get locked eventually (since reasonable and worthwhile discussion is literally not possible in a topic like that), and I'm glad that it finally did. ;)

+ Computer doesn't have homofag sound anymore.

+ sent some VIE applications. Maybe it will work :|...
++ finished a chapter of my story. I was so happy writing this one that I reached 8000 words, far beyond what I've done before (4500-5500 words chapters). I hope it's still understandable, but I liked how i built it, and the end doesn't seem too bad (yup, this one needed a good end).

Take her to a vetenary asap. If you are not a dog specialist, aside from that there is not much you can do :|.

I'm pretty sure incognito thinks that vets are evil and that he'd rather just feed his dog frog wart with a dash of lemming butt and eyelid of camel.

Surely the vet has an emergency phone line. There's always animal ambulances on call for crying out loud.

- So today I found out I have vertigo. Badly. I was on the Ironworkers Memorial Bridge in Vancouver, which, for your reference, is around 30 to 50 metres tall at its highest point. The worst part about it was that the pedestrian/cyclistlane is only roughly two metres broad and there's a mass of speeding cars to your immediate right and the terrifying drop on your immediate left. Every time a lorry passed, the whole construction shook.

Now I know where not to go when I go to Vancouver. :P

But, ye, as someone with a fear of heights, that sounds terrifying, and a nasty way to learn about your fear of heights at that. :?
