My only problem with revolution was the slow animation start up it took for Rayman to shoot his fist, it's more "real and accurate" you could say, though I found it a little annoying, otherwise I would very well go far as to saying Revolution is the best version if it weren't for the framerate issues that plagued it.

I don't think PCSX2 has come that far.

Hmm, given that RR does use Renderware, an engine used by plenty of other games (including Sonic Heroes, if memory serves), would it be possible for tools to exist that would allow for such hacking?

Sonic Heroes also used renderware? Would this explain the massive slowdown on the PS2 version of Heroes? If that's the case maybe Revolution would have never had slowdown if it was on Gamecube and Xbox, maybe?

?
I'm not talking about using the emulator to do it, I'm referring to extracting the textures from the other versions, converting them to the proper format, going into the game's files (either by editing the image itself or by extracting one and rebuilding it), and replacing the existing textures with the newly converted ones, which ought to be very possible if you have the correct tools.

Possibly, I recently saw a playthrough of Sonic Heroes on GCN, and it ran at 60 FPS just fine, it too used Renderware.
As for extracting and converting RR's textures, we ought to look into Sonic Heroes' (or any other Renderware title) hacking, we might be able to find existing tools that could work with RR.

If that was possible to do it would definitely be a treat.

I misunderstood what you were saying at first, man I'm just full of mistakes lately... my apologies. I have no clue what I'm saying.
Yeah, I'm sure somebody could do it if they had the time, I'd like to see it, do we have any dedicated enough fans here? :p

Correct! This is why I state that Revolution should have had a release on Gamecube and Xbox as we wouldn't see it run at such a low FPS on those consoles, similar to Heroes. (I feel really awkward comparing Revolution to Heroes since I hate Heroes and love Revolution, lol)

Well, I finish uni in 7 weeks, might look into the hacking tools for renderware.

I was looking to the first post and who said that RR is unplayable in PSCX2 in the latest version? ._. I have it and it works more than fine. I believe I should rewrite some texts in the first post.
I just finished to test the performance of R3HH in the same emulator and it is fully playable. The only issues I found were some flickering graphical glitches but they don't harm gameplay.

It didn't work on version that was newest back then. Probably an update came in the meantime and now it works on current latest version.

Maybe, just remember to use stable release, instead of beta builds. Stable versions are slightly faster, maybe less compatible with some titles, which have been made some fixes in them until this build.

It should be a nice idea to rewrite texts in the first post, it is lagging a lot for me.

You have unplayable computer, not emulator. Do you remember this thing?

I think I should spend an hour one of these weekends to re-write the first post, there are stuff that I think that are messy/not correct. I also need to add my report of the Rayman 3 performance in PCSX2.

I think R3 runs better. And yes, there are some graphical glitches, but not to often.

I dunno if there is actually an option that fixes those flickering graphical glitches, it seemed like some polygons were being dragged away from the screen.

I have the same. I not really sure if it's fixable. Maybe beta build instead stable or opposite would be solution. But it's not connected with any options, i think, because I tried a lot of.
