Well, I will definetely go for the max score in BOM now. How I said, I finished Part 2 with 13.381 and I will manage the extended version again to finish BOM with 100.799. Or even 101.199 when there are possibilitys to hit Razoff 6 times

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I still wonder about that, too. Maybe he was able to get the 30+ bonus from a slapdash

. And this time I won't give up until I have got a decent score after Part 5 (includes managing the Triple-Glitch)!

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Heh, part 5 isn't actually as bad as it sounds. The first time I tried to trigger the Razoff glitch it took me around five attempts. The second time, twentyfive attempts. That's not too excruciating at all. You just have to believe the glitch will eventually trigger itself, and believe me it will, and patiently wait until the moment comes.
To me, parts 1-4 are fairly easy so long as you use the right tricks. And your score after part 2 is great anyway.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Hehe, there's a nice trick to let you hit only one time by the slapdashes at the cage
Well, it's also my opinion that the Parts 1-4 aren't a big deal, and I will go with the right feeling and motivated into Part 5.
After that, I will play LS. And the Matuvu-Combo is even harder than BOM ^____^

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Lateral shots?
But why would you want to only hit one Slapdash?
I guess it depends on how much you wish to take the Matuvu for, in TLS. If you're going for 500 then it's not too bad, 1000 is nail-biting but 1500 is terrible. At the moment I'm in the process of trying to combo it for 1500, which means taking it after ten objects! Then you have to be dead lucky you land perfectly in the secret room so to take only two gems. It's a burden I tell you!
By the way, I'm waiting for you to beat my score

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Sorry that I haven't replied for a while, I'm still quite busy.
And to get the 30 extra points, I didn't include Kaag or get anything with the SR. I did the most simple thing possible.
I asked him, saying that you wanted to know but he got angry at me beforehand because I am dubious about his scores and told him so. He refused to ever give tips again btw, think about it what you like.MandM81 wrote: I do remember that guy with the amazing score (didn't he get 105.999 points in TOTL as well?). Anyway, I have tried to include a Slapdash the way you describe. It doesn't work for me. The combo time after the Hoodstomper lasts only uncharacteristic 2 seconds. And it doesn't change even if you include the Slapdash. You don't get 5 or 6 seconds of combo time from him, the combo ends after two seconds and before the cinematic starts. Did he make a video, or will he do so?

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
When I was working on getting over 100000 in CF long ago, I used to combo MasterKaag using the Shock Rocket after hitting just one Slapdash. Then I just took the other 2 in the first wave of Hoodblasters. Anyway, it feels good that the HOF is back up and running. And I was surpised to be on the 12th place after all this time of Rayman3 absence. The only thing that wasn't right however, was that it recognized the PS2 console as my system, starting up Rayman3 and entering that code again changed it back to good-old GC though.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I used several data tables to import as many scores as I could, and it looks like there was something wrong with one of them. At least, the scores are correct ^^
By the way, mostwanted and sfn haven't entered their codes yet, if I'm not mistaken.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I've just improved my TLS score to 42790 so my total score is now 848693.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Back online again after a few weeks of seminars and such. I've also been away from playing R3 and after half an hour of playing today, I can say I'm fairly rusty. Nothing is working, my timing is gone and the feeling for the game vanished. Well, after a few days I'll probably get some of it back.
Xenon: Congrats on LS. Well played.
What are you playing now?
sfn: As I understand, you get these 30 extra points from just the 27 Hoodmongers and the 3 Slapdashes? I will try to figure out this puzzle and if I can't, I have something to trade with. Maybe we can do a deal later?
Another puzzle is this player who claims he can get these fantastic scores in CF, TOTL and LS. It would be great with some kind of evidence that he actually can play these wild combos for real. Should we take him seriously or dismiss him as a fraud? Maybe his reaction on your request says it all. Has any of you ever seen a screen shot or anything from him?

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I'm not actually playing any level at the moment because my motivation has drained out too. But maybe I'll drift back in soon... if I do, I'll be replaying Fairy Council again to get those needed 1500 extra points.
And I think the guy who claims his unbelievably good scores in those hard levels is indeed a fraud. It's fairly obvious he uses hacks to boost his score to something magical and doesn't have any R3-adroitness whatsoever. There's everything to suggest it.
By the way, good to see you back. Thought you did a runner.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
@Xenon: Congratulations to your new TLS-score. I guess you've managed the Matuvu in a 1500-combo?
@MandM: I would be quite happy with a deal, if you can't figure it out, especially if you have something in TFC.
About that guy: He never posted any screenshots or videos of his scores. He just appears from time to time with new riddiculous improvements (this includes 111000 in CF, 105999 in TOTL and 119729 in TLOTLD), then disappears for a few weeks/months and returns claiming that his save game got deleted and gets similar scores. I think he is just a liar who has a sub-par score and invents these combos to look great.
BTW, I've also started playing R3 again. I'm in TFC part 3 right now (the one with the 4 Matuvus). I've finished part 2 with 3029 (I know how to get the missing 61 points but I didn't have the patience to play for it) and now I'm struggling terribly, although it started so well. Last Saturday I managed the second Matuvu in the extended 3MC four times but I always blew something before or afterwards. But since then my playing has gotten worse every day. I think the reason is that I can only play in the late afternoon or in the evening and I'm too tired then, as I've to wake up very early in the morning. I'll try again this weekend but maybe I'll have to settle with the standard 3MC. It would be disappointing but these days I can't put enough focus on R3 to succeed with such a difficult combo.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Xenon: Me do a runner!? Nah! It was just everything non-Rayman that seemed to require my attention these past weeks. It's over now and a holiday is looming in the not too distant future.
sfn: FC part 3 requires that you are in top form. The second Matuvu is especially demanding. I'm sure I couldn't manage it now if I tried. I always have to play for a few days to get the right feeling for it. What is your current score in FC?
Ok, we'll dismiss this guy as a fraud and not waste time trying to work out his fantasy combos.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
@ sfn: Yes indeed, though sadly I didn't hit the Shoe nine times in a row (I was aiming to) so I lost a valuable 200 points. Oh well.
@ MandM: I think I may replay levels if you guys do too - there's no way I'm prepared to undergo the might of TFC without the knowing that others are also enduring the agony too. So I might start in the impending holiday breaks as well! But for now, the levels are left dormant.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I'm not sure I'm ready to replay an entire level at the moment. I'll play some fun parts at first and then slowly increase the level of difficulty in the game until I can deal with combos like the extended 3MC and such. Most likely I'll play some relaxed games and maybe try to find some extra points that have escaped me earlier.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
@MandM: I have 42570 in TFC right now. I already improved in part 2 by about 300 points this time, as I've never got more than 2700 before. Then there are some automatic improvements on the way which result in little mistakes I made last time. So even if I don't manage the extended 3MC (which I'm not sure about right now), I should still be able to get about 43200-43300 points.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Where did you find these extra 300 points? How do you play the Trampolines, do you remember how big your combo is in that area?
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
I think you misunderstood me. I played all the usual combos in that area which resulted in 3029 points, which is 300 points more than the score I had last time because I didn't play the real trampoline-combo and the real dwarf-combo then.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Ok, I just meant where did you improve from 2.700 points to 3.000+ points? But I guess the troublesome areas are the Dwarves and the Trampolines.
Re: Rayman 3 Scores
It seems that I misunderstood you, then
. Anyway, I played the dwarf-combo and the trampoline-combo both for real for the first time. The videos of both combos helped me a lot, otherwise I might not have managed them.
EDIT: I've finished part 3 with 16129 yesterday but I'm already struggling with part 4. Even if I squeeze every little point out of this part, I don't know who to get more than about 10800. I've tried several things in each room but none of them worked. The only improvements I've found so far are taking the mushroom in the first room after the Matuvu and a little thing in the last room which is worth only 20 points (and it seldom works). So, any kind of help would be more than welcome.

Re: Rayman 3 Scores
Part 4 is still a puzzle to me too. I'm not entirely sure I have got the maximum out of the first room. Once and again I try to get more out of the two Matuvus and the Tribelle. It's always very close, but no success. And the last room is the most dissatisfying of them all. It is uncharacteristic for the game that there are twenty objects available, but apparently no way to combine them successfully into one combo. What were the developers thinking?
Let me know if you come up with anything useful in the last room.
