First snow this winter

It's freezing here, but there is no wind and no snow. However, the pressure is dropping, and I predict snowfall.

Very cold. Snowfall is coming next week.

EDIT: All this weather-talk is getting me into a fix. I referenced the pressure's relation to snowfall in Geography class today and some people didn't know what I was saying, even though we had done it last year as part of that subject. Therefore, the teacher decided to give us a test on the Weather chapter tomorrow!

Even here, it's snowing... I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to get to college OR the protest.

And I'm worried that my boyfriend won't be able to make it this afternoon, it's his birthday today and I'm doing a cake for him ;_;

Doesn't snow here for some reason, but it's cold... -16oC at the moment, was worse in the morning.

I don't understand why school/college/whatever would be cancelled because of snow though, can't the utilities or whoever's responsible just take care of it? The only time we didn't have to go to school was when the temperature went lower than -35oC

Mat, this is BRITAIN we're talking about. Somehow, snow always surprises the authorities, and especially the transport companies.

Winter is always "surprising" here too, the first few days of hard snowfall are always horrible, nothing gets cancelled though, so I'm just jealous
