I was always one of those people who wanted to know life story of main character.
But I would be fine with decission to never tell.

If it's true, I'm surprised Sony of all companies is making the movie. I always expected Disney to make a Sonic movie for some reason.

Modern Disney would probably make Sonic movie with story that is even more childish than recent games. I think Sonic stories should be between dark and light hearted. Sony might do just that.

Hm, with the right minds behind it (looking at the folks who did Wreck it Ralph), I think Disney could do it well.

Considering Sony made Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Hotel Transylvania, not bad movies mind you, a Sonic movie by them is likely going to be a full out comedy.

Sonic has a ton of cameos in that, probably more than any other character. He actually has a speaking role too (voiced by Roger Craig Smith and everything). In the beginning of the movie, you can also see a "Sonic the Fighters" arcade cabinet in the arcade.
As for the origins of Sonic, the game-verse actually has eluded to his origins before, which is why I'd want more insight on it.

Let's just hope the people making it know what they're doing.

Well, seeing for the time being, we're not sure if this is a thing, I guess time can only tell if there are people doing anything related to this at all.

I see you got Racing Transformed on Steam Ad
So what do you think of it since it is Sonic game?

I wouldn't classify it as a Sonic game really, it's more "SEGA's characters and their mascot do racing."

Has the Sonic name in it
But when you really look at how the game plays, I guess you are right.

Sonic is SEGA's biggest name, much like Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure, it's mostly there just to use a brand's popularity.

Sonic Transformed (it's a shortened name I use) is one of my favourite kart racers of all time. Blends kart racing mayhem with somewhat realistic kinaesthetics to make a really fun and skill based racing game. It's better than any Mario Kart game, IMO, and it rivals Crash Team Racing.

The levels are running on a much better engine, is why. And this project is quite the step forward for the Sonic Generations modding community.
