I like different series for different aspects, I liked the Crash series for it's gameplay, thus, I dislike the Titans series.
I like the Infamous and Jak series, both for story and gameplay.
I like the Rayman series more for it's gameplay, though I do like the hint of story.
I don't mind the fact that Origins lacks in story, but I understand why some people would.

Skip to the 2 hour mark for footage of the Vita version.

They don't show any of the exclusive modes but looks identical to console version.
Except for the strange water-drop alike object silhouette that appears. There's also the Gifts and Ghost mode too.

I'm not saying it is wrong to believe that story makes a game, just that I'm personally irritated by it

Does any of you know whether the ghost mode that's in the Vita version will also be in the PC version of RO?

No, no one knows as of yet. I somewhat doubt it, as I'm expecting the PC version to be a port of the console versions as opposed to the handheld ones (this means no Relics either). Although this is just my own speculation, I really couldn't say anything for sure...

well, I'm fighting my way through countless levels, and I have no idea why. with some other game types it would be no problem, but it really looks like rayman is doing it just for the lulz :fou:
well, can't say the story was very much developped in previous games, but at least I knew I had to defeat Mr.Dark / Razorbeard / André.

I know the motivations of most of the characters in Rayman Origins, but it’s a lot harder to visualise how they fit together than it was in the previous games.

yes before origins it seemed to make sense some what with how the story's fit together.
i wonder how origins will effect later rayman games to come.

Am I the only one here that enjoys Rayman's face expressions? (and also his dance when he saves the Electoons from the cage?) I think he's adorable when he does it! :P

I disagree completely, Rayman 1 and Rayman 2 fit better together now due to the retcons given by Origins.
Origins is set after Rayman 3.

Do you have any evidence to support this claim, or are you just making stuff up?

Went back to town today and went to the GAME where I said that Rayman Origins event was at the weekend and there were displays of Rayman as well as these mysterious boxes stacked up at the sides decorated like Rayman cages. I wonder what they could have inside? (hopefully not poor little electoons, but I couldn't hear cries for help inside :P). I was very tempted to ask someone in the store...

Apparently the Vita version was released in America yesterday. Does anyone have any new information about the Relics?

Really? Then the console is already out in the American continent?

Hopefully YouTube videos will appear soon.

There aren't any videos of relic cut-scenes yet, and when they appear I'm sure we'll get them shaky-cam style first.
I think we're really relying on someone on the forum to get a (ri)vita and the game, and as there is a severe lack of Americans on here, we can only wait...

At least the console is one week away from Europe.

I've already had the opportunity to try out the PlayStation Vita but it was a pity they didn't have a Rayman Origins demo.

I saw the Vita game cases yesterday. I gotta say, they sure look cute! I was tempted to buy Origins just for the case (Wouldn't be the first time) but the $50 price tag seemed a bit too steep for me.
