Damn, she was very young!
Is it known what was the death cause?

The death cause was not publically revealed, but it is known that it involved tragic circumstances.
She was a great programmer and one of the main reasons why Dolphin was so successful. May she rest in peace.

Agreed. The depth of human idiocy never ceases to amaze me. Damn! Even if I'm angry at someone and even if it happens for a good reason...I'd never EVER wish the person to die...let me quote Janos Audron from Soul Reaver 2 who had a very fitting description about this part of humanity.
"The fear what they don't understand. And they despise what they fear."
Gotta love it when people are harassing other people just because of their differences.

The notion of wishing for someone's death on its own bothers me way less than what those sorts of statements were centered around, though.

Here's one more sad episode of discrimination that ends up in tragedy. May she rest in peace.

To wish someone's death is easy, but just leave it on is just as easy..

I didn't really know about her until recently because of this, but her contributions to dolphin were superb, may she rest in peace, sucks to know someone would take their live away because of some assholes on the internet. I've been playing with the emulator a lot recently and to hear this is really sad.

My thoughts are with those who knew her, and those whose lives were enriched by her work. Sickening.

To clarify, I was referring to the cause of the bullying, not the suicide, which I don't think was necessarily easy to avoid at all, psychologically.

Haruka, I see a little mistake in your ePSXe config guide…

Rayman Arena on Dolphin emulator

by Rozalin
After having lurked around this forum for some time, I finally decided to make my own account. Hi.
Anyway I've always wanted to play what was widely considered to be the best version of Rayman Arena, namely the Gamecube (and Xbox) versions released in 2002.
Now, way back a year or two ago I managed to get said game running almost perfectly using a now outdated release of Dolphin, except for the fact that one level (I think it was Rise & Shrine) always caused the game to freeze, so I couldn't progress much in single player mode.
Later on I tried playing the game with what was at the time the newest version version of Dolphin, but it was actually even worse to the point of not being playable at all.
Anyway, that's my life story. My actual purpose with this topic was asking the forum if they had any experience playing RA on Dolphin, and what the optimal version and settings are. I don't know how to end forum topics, jeez.
**edit**
Just noticed the Rayman Emulation topic and now I feel like a dum-dum

If it helps I'll merge this topic with the Emulation topic.

Try repeatedly tapping the A button to skip the cutscene.

It is not a mistake, Fifo. I am using a ripped file to run the game, not a physical disc.

you said to select Mooby2 to run Rayman 1 with music, and Mooby2 only works when selecting ‘Run CD’ in ePSXe.

Ah, now that is other thing. I probably used the setup of R2TGE. Thanks.
Also guys, when I wrote the N64 tutorial I noticed that Project64's 2.2 version doesn't need the "Force alpha blending" in order to see the Lums.

The new GLideN64 plugins seems to do a great job at rendering Rayman 2, plus, it has a widescreen hack built in!
