Yeah apparently there are 2 spellings for that word, acknowledgement and acknowledgment, I chose the shorter one. Technically I wouldn't allow this, but I am getting tired of repeatedly screwing up my board, so yes I will allow it just this once Plum. ACKNOWLEDGMENT IS THE RIGHT ANSWER!!!

Ah yes. The cut-spelling people reason that if we can do that, why can't we do "bridg" and the like as well? Then they later suggest switching to "brij", which is just confusing.

But you're not an eejit, for a moment at first when I chose this particular word, I had no idea which version was actually correct.

It's correct in the US so you're right. If it had been me I'd of looked "eejitish". I have to stop making up words
