Do not use GameMaker if you retain any moral dignity, seriously.

YoYo games has gone completely corrupt, and I would do anything to cease supporting them if possible. Plus, using a pirated or purchased version nowadays, you're likely to encounter detrimental effects at some point while working that will cause you to have to start over.

What? That sounds terrible. I always liked whipping up a few quick games with GM - I still do. What do you mean with 'detrimental effects'? Do you mean it gets corrupted easily? I guess I haven't encountered one of those problems yet, but then I use GM 8.0 and not the latest one. And corrupt, how? I know they've been pushing their prices into the skies and that's why I've been avoiding the newer versions after my own, but are they evil in any other way too?

I mean that YoYo has incorporated a DRM system that will replace all your game's graphics will skulls and crossbones, and the fraudulent ratio is ridiculously unbalanced. It isn't worth the risk.

Not only that however, the attitude the staff who've imposed this DRM possess is disgusting. Numerous people have reported the staff coming back with offensive retorts, often swearing at even legitimate customers for 'supporting piracy,' and so on. The free version of GameMaker is useless for making anything serious, and the paid or cracked versions are now almost even more useless than the free versions.

GameMaker is good enough for what i need. But if you think it's useless, i'd be glad to hear about any other program(s) that you would recommend me to use (maybe unity?). Also, i never encountered any of those kinda errors, it worked and still works well.

Well you can be part of it if you know how to use gamemaker. :P

But anyway, what would you like to do in it? :)
Ew Gamemaker.

But no i'd like to develop (I.e. all the programming) the thing since I actually had plans to start on a B&R game myself, only problem is that I suck at making sprites and such.

I currently have Unity on this computer which I do believe works with 2D as well as 3D graphics. :P

Wut? You make awesome sprites and such.

I can also make good sprites and can even do programming a little ( in GML though ), but i do think if i'd take time and learn how to do programming a little more deeply, i'd do it well. Howewer, i guess we still have a lot of things to be considered, like the story, gameplay, animating etcetera.

If this game would be done, this will be sorta a good thing in Teh historee of B&R.

EDIT: i think i've almost found the exact text Rulzez said in the Behin da Sceens episode:

Enter this at bitlips.fi with "heta lapsi tavallinen" settings.

Code: Select all

What in the actual fuck Rayrobi. I don't remember it but it might very well be it.

There was a pause (either a space or a period or a comma) before the xdk (which I believe was actually tsk but okay).

Jesus Rayrobi.

Wow.

No I don't. :P That's why i'm more focused on the programming aspect of gaming.

I was thinking more along the lines of "Reveng of teh furfaggts". Simple but meh.

Actually i still hear this thing to be more qualitative in the actual episode than the thing i hear on the linked website. And i double checked, and i'm sure there wasn't any space nor a comma, the emphasises are different.

Oh. Also, I apologise for not finishing my earlier works for B&R - Age Rage, The Passenger, Somebody That I Used to Roll, etc. I'm making a new music vid right now and it's gonna be, for the love of fuck, finished. Mainly because I'm making it for a special someone :)

So it's gonna be a lipsync parody of Alien from YFM but it's gonna be fucking professional, as I'm using GIMP and Sony Vegas, and out of 5105 frames I've done 61 so far. I've made new sheets and everything needed - I swear this will be the best B&R spin-off ever.
