+ New mixer arrived, so I don't have to use my dick penis webcam mic ever again!
+ Set it up, and it's fantastic, and the mic we have is apparently also fantastic as well.
- Only problem is that there's a noticable amount of noise in the USB interface (which is shit), I was able to get around it by knocking the PC mic volume down to 5 and turning up the gain on the mixer, so not really an issue. I'll also try just directly wiring the mixer outputs to the onboard sound card, and see if that's any better.

EDIT: Wait, nvm, when I do that, there's a whine due to signal interference (not caused by the mixer, and, apparently, the noise is different when you don't set the audio resolution to 48kHz. wtf

I found that particular mixer to be rather noisy as well, it wouldn't suffice for the recordings I was doing. But for what it is, it's quite good indeed.

+ I finished and turned in my memoir with help from my mom.

- Still more work to catch up on tomorrow for another class.

- I waited an unholy amount of time waiting for a 24-minute video to upload to YouTube, only to have it removed right after for being too long. They could have at least given me some kind of warning so I wouldn't waste so much time.

Ye, follow emshomar's recommendation and use Handbrake. It allows you to convert the video into the exact format that'll make YouTube's severs happy.

+ Well I just ended up successfully uploading it in two parts. But I will take a look at Handbrake, perhaps to at least reduce the filesize of my .avi files

I've tried recording with compressors, but some make the background go pixellated and others make the emulator lag very badly.

+ This morning I found a large earthworm crawling across the limestone in my backyard. It flipped around like mad when I touched it but I managed to pick it up and let it crawl around on my hand for a while before putting it in the garden.

The other annoying one is waiting about 30-45 minutes for a video to render, only to find that the compression is really lousy, and you've wasted your time. -_-

Once I had a video I spend many hours working on and then when I rewatched it on another computer I realised a shot that was very dark had all this gross looking green patchiness all over the black areas. Blech!

- English exam tomorrow.
- My alarm clock ran out of batteries so I have nothing to ensure I'll wake up as early as I usually do.

Have you tried using a mobile phone alarm clock? On morings when I really need to wake up, I always use both an alarm clock and my phone to make the noise doubly annoying

I need two or three alarms from my phone to wake me up nowadays. I used to shoot out of bed at 7:00 on the dot.

+ Not much going on this week, which means I have a lot of free time to prepare for upcoming tests, practicals and a weekend of going out with people from my student's union. Also, more free time to just chill around!
- My bike chain snapped right in half today. And it happens to coincide with that week where buses have decided that it's not worth it to show up for work. xP

Likewise, use my phone, though I'm considering making the time earlier so I can get the snooze to gradually ease me out of it, rather than having to force myself out on first ring.

- I'm not liking my timetable for Mondays, I get a nice long break, but this one final lesson in the evening, ehh...I'd rather have it sooner, not later.
+ Proper lessons have begun, looking forward to it, even if some timetable aspects aren't quite to my liking.

(+) I'm really liking my new iPhone
(+) Having a blast with watercolor painting, even though it looks like a child did it.
(+) I'm finishing concept art for my game!
(-) Kind of lack the motivation to share.

+ Even though my crush wasn't there tonight, I'm having more and more fun at my union each time I visit. Everyone there is just so... me!
That is to say, we get along great.

Nope, I never use my mobile phone for anything, really. I ended up using my iPod's alarm, but it sucked and I only heard it because I was already awake.
