Re: Unpopular opinions on Rayman

I don't know how unpopular this opinion really is, but it does seem a teensie bit controversial [hehe lol].

I like Ramon as a character & relate to him quite a bit.
Feeling like a parrot trapped in a tiny gilded cage, & always rejected for what you simply are.
For so long you have been believing & feeding others the lies others wanted you to spread, thinking it was for the benefit of others.

He wanted to do good, he wanted to help people, but the way he went about it was terrible.
But then he learned a truth hidden in plain sight, & now he can't ever turn back.
He can't take part, he can't even passibly take part.
He had to put his body upon the gears, upon the levers, & he got to make it stop!

He knows he can heal, & chases the 1 who made it real

[references to; Linkin Park's Wretches & Kings, Metal Gear Solid Rising Revengeance's I'm my Own Master Now; Cover by GO!!]

I except I never did any real damage during the days I was misguided. & that truth is that my original goal in life of being an animator wasn't really what I thought it would be, & that things are never gonna be the same.

To me Ramon is part of that spark of hope in the world the templars created, for he is part of the Brotherhood.

I like Ramon as AssassinRay, & I will not pretend to hate him because you lot cower from the crasses his efforts were depicted in. I will not pretend to hate him because you may not understand the nuances of his story or believe that he was insulted by being a redeemed villain rather than a straight up hero even though REMIX is literally in the title. I will not your offense get in the way of the relief & tragedy of his righteous fury. I will let him find inner piece & display the derange balance between edginess & silliness that Rayman Origins taught me to love.

I beseech thee, do not wish, do hope. Hope cannot be twisted into a curse, cannot be taken advantage of, cannot be tainted.

Nothing is True, Nothing is Forbidden, & Life always finds a way, for it is everything.

Oh, alright...fair enough...Although I bet the people who like him on reddit & twitter, don't quite understand him either, but are on the opposite side of the spectrum. So far I think the only mainstream website that generally understood him was tumblr.

Yeah, they are the same type of people who fantasise around serial killers. There is also 2 types of that spectrum with the people who love them and people genuinely fascinated by them

Origins is my favourite Rayman game. I'm not sure if that's unpopular or not, but that one is true. Maybe they need to be more like having a favourite character that most people don't like.
Origins is my favorite too! In fact it was my first Rayman game & I think it's PEAK Rayman [alongside Rayman 3] The series depends on the mischief of a dark surreal silly & funny fairytale to honestly function.

Rayman origins OST is the worst in the series
Oooooo, worst OST? Could you perhaps clue me in on why you think this way? Just curious that's all :)

I think "Thank You for Playing Rayman" as a story is kinda mid, & that the best part of it was the Polluted Blue Mountains Screenshot, & the portion that makes it tie into Rayman 2 somehow.

I like the idea of The Glade of Dreams changing due to tampering with the Great Protoon/The Heart of The World. I like that the characters' actions have an effect on the world around them, even if those actions & the subsequent reactions are nonsensical & balls to the fucking walls :fou2: :fou: :fou2: :fou: :fou2: :fou: .

Unfortunately it's 1 of the few Rayman creepypastas that exist & people need to write more. I need more deranged legends to be added to the Rayman fan mythos & I would have a wholeass playlist of them to fall asleep to if there were enough of them.

I believe Origins is a very fun game when it comes to just being lighthearted and fun to play, this is why I like it. At this point though I'm not 100% sure, as I feel the deep lore in the likes of Rayman 2 interests me a lot. I initially played Rayman 1 as a kid, and I feel like Rayman 3 has some solid gameplay (the story is kind of meh), but I still think I would go for Rayman 2 or Origins. Legends is just not as good as Origins, in my opinion, it's just taking Origins and trying to build onto it.

In conclusion though, I like Rayman 2 a lot and might even say that would be my favourite. Both of the games are fun in different ways, as they have completely different settings.

Yeah, I’d say all rayman games are good in their own way, and which one you prefer depends on what you’re looking for in a game

Hhhhhmmmm I would like to come back to my review of Rayman 2, I will give the game another chance, because when someone likes something, I do my best to understand why, I was maybe in a bad mood the first time I played it lol

If you don't understand why it is a good game then you're clearly a fake fan and I shun thee.

(In all seriousness, I do think Rayman 2 could do with some QoL, the game's fine for the most part, but there are definitely some aspects I think that could play a little smoother or more intuitively - looking at you Nenuphars)

Unpopular opinion: I think 90% of fans above the age of 20 have basically the same taste and views in rayman games (Steo may be a lone exception)

He says, while completely forgetting that Steo had stated Rayman 2 might be his favorite, which Goop clearly stated that he hates. :P

I said that steo is an exception because he said he likes rayman origins, while most older rayman fans fire at it for absolutely no reason at all

Oh that’s what you meant. I feel like people who take offense with Origins would be either the nymphs’ looks or the magician’s change to a teensy. Although i am one of those people who doesn't believe that the Magician in Origins is the same one as the original.

I only played the game once and liked it so I have no problem with it since later levels were definitely a challenge. Which is really strange for me that I haven’t played it again since.

Anyways here’s a good opinion to balance out the unpopular ones: Jungle Run and Fiesta Run were the best mobile games.
