Kirby always has some really good tracks, so, I decided to go back to Rainbow Curse's soundtrack:

I remember back when we had Crysis 2 on the PS3, I don't think I ever beat it, but this theme. It really stuck with me.
Oh man, that's hilarious, I was literally listening to this exact video (the first time I'd listened to the soundtrack in years) within the same hour you posted this.

I've had this question in my mind for many months now. Do guys tend to listen to male artists more than female artists? I'm not trying to sexist, but it's crossed my mind a lot. For example, I listen to male artists 98% of the time.

I don't think so. Out of everyone I know (both musician and non-musician), it's entirely dependent on the genre of music or the style of the vocalist. I've noticed no disparity regarding gender, unless the genre is gender-exclusive (boy bands, girl groups, etc). When it comes to music production however, male and female vocals are mixed very differently, and some producers prefer mixing one over the other (I don't though).

True true, so do I, and since I'm the stereotype of the frenchie I bet you know what my opinions are ...
Seriously though, I'd say it is the audience targeted, of course I ain't gonna listen any Rianna cause it is crap targeting an audience of young females.
And same reason for which I facepalm whenever Taylor Swift pops out at the radio, targeted audience.
Still, some songs are made deeper depending on the gender of the vocalist, like ad said, and it would be stupid of me to say that there are only gender targeted music as an example I'll use Best XIII's sacred band Arch ennemy, the main vocalist is a woman but is listening by thousands of metalheadbangers of all genders.
But I don't know why, I'd say music is evolving more gender based nowadays.

well ill be...
i was just listening to this record starring none other than female vocals! and they work wonderfully here, beth gibbons' voice is like, like a real light in the darkness when contrasted with all the moody instrumentals

I don't really give a shit, I just don't seem to cross many female artists in general. I think it depends more on the mixing of vocals and how they blend with the music.

I don't tend to listen to tracks with vocals, if there's vocals, it's usually a choir of sorts.
This track stuck with me in the trailer, so I ended up looking to see what it was.
