I didn't find it boring. I did however find it illogical that there were giant fans insode an ancient temple.

The reason for all the fans and other structures inside the sanctuaries is that they were built recently by Pirates. They invaded the sanctuaries to try and stop Rayman getting the masks, and while there built lots of structures. Remember those Pirates with parachutes? The fan was probably built so they could get around the sancyuary and take over it easier.

But there weren't any pirates in that part of teh game. No pirates, no pirate structures, signs or any hints that pirates had been there at all. just fans. :?

There are cages.

There are cages everywhere, it's just a game mechanic.

I think it looks fantastic.

Those cages have the robo-pirate sign on them and they are in the sanctuary of rock and lava. That proves that pirates have been there, and therefore they probably constructed that fan.

It wouldn't be that good if there were absolutely no cages in there, would it? -_-

How could pirates get into that sanctuary? In some places the area is made up entirely of lava and spikes, making it impossible for them to enter...

Exactly, Drol and Xenon's points sum up my exact thoughts.

I wonder how the cages ended there.

Pirates are made of metal, so they might be immune to those thorns. And Parachute Pirates can fly on air currents, so they can probably fly on lava too, explaining how they got into the Sanctuary, captured some familiar spirits, and built a fan. Then they left, thinking that Rayman could probably never get past the thorns and Foutch anyway, so there was no need to guard the mask from him. And that's that.

The controlls in beneath the sanctuary of rock and lava is really inpossible to go trough without losing the power fists, it has very hard gameplay, if i didn't use the health cheat i would never gotten trough that level .

I don't think it's too hard, apart from getting through all those tight places.

It's a great theory, but the cage located underneath the ground (near where Rayman starts) clashes with it.

Which brings us back to my question: How did the cages end there?

Maybe that cage that clashes with my theory was put there by the Pirates when the lava was at low tide? XD

And how would the pirates steer themselves through the small gaps?
