In Ireland, we call people with ginger hair "gingers". The insult "ginger" isn't the same as the normal English word "ginger". The insult sounds different. It rhymes with "stinger", and the first "g" is the type of "g" which doesn't sound like a "j".

Annoying ginger's is fun. Especially when they dye their hair black and it still shows through.
