I actually might give origins a play today, see if there is anything about the game that I like beside the art style.

Anyone knows if there's some kind of easy fix for the 'invisible water/fire/streams' bug in PC version?

You mean this one? viewtopic.php?p=668399#p668399

For me it was because my computer was extremely dusty. I Aerosoled it and then it worked again.

Now I've given the RO a playthrough for just under a day now after I've already made an opinion, I've came to a decent conclusion that should make everyone happy, Rayman Origins IS a good game, but I don't like it, in fact I hate it with every ounce of my existence, in fact, I was wondering why I didn't stop playing it after it angered me so much, and my friend came up with reasonable reason why: "[11:50:37] John Davidson: ¬¬ I wonder why I've been playing this game for so long. I don't even like it, its a good game, but I don't like it.
[11:50:50] Kezzie: it's addicting that's why
[11:51:11] John Davidson: no its not, its frustrating and boring ¬¬
[11:51:23] Kezzie: and that's why it's addicting
[11:51:43] Kezzie: if it's frustrating then you want to stop it by completing the game and the boriness stops after your done"
and she's right, I guess, the only reason I've been playing it so long is to see how stupid and frustrating it gets from me.

Actually, I noticed a few glitches when I played the game, ranging from bad hitboxes (I was getting hit by lightning that was metres away from me) to gravity errors (smashing some ice blocks and rayman stands in mid-air for a few seconds) as well as cheap deaths (admittadley though thats not ussually a glitch, there is one time when I think its a glitch, in th water wolrds tricky treasure, you get to the end and you are given no time at all to get t the end of the level before your character goes off screen and is subsequently dies, the only way I got passed t was with good luck)

so, Rayman Origins is a good game, but I don't like it.

edit: also, I'm wondering why everyone is saying this game is stupidly easy compared to Rayman 1, I personally think its almost 3 times as hard as the first game, just not as punishing with the introduction of infinite lives, just thought I should say that.

More points for the combo mode; I also agree.

Hell, I wonder how I would have completed some of the later levels with alle Electoon medals on my own.

And..
Add another to the combo of agreement.
If lives could be hacked into RO, people would see just how much harder RO is compared to R1.

Add another point to the combo.I think I would be possible to hack lives into RO but no one will bother making it impossible.

Rayman Origins can have infinite lives, but it isn't a piece of cake either. You die a lot anyway.

well I'm not sure. it's hard to say because I go for high scores and low times, so I die a lot, but if you only try to complete the game, it doesn't look that hard overall, except the last levels.

in the 1st rayman it's a bit different, because you have to find all the cages anyway, whereas it is optional in RO.
and maybe you die in one hit in RO, but in the 1st rayman, enemies were much stronger. stone men are a piece of cake in RO. moths were a pain too.

I've played through the game with full 4 player co-op, it does involve rather humorous standstill "slap-fights" but besides that, unless all four players are of equal skill (which rarely is the case), gameplay can get a little annoying as the camera may stretch out since lagging players are further back, this can also hinder progress as there is a limit to how far the camera can zoom out, going beyond the boundary of the camera causes instant bubblization, unfortunately, the camera sometimes "latched" onto a lagging player, thus forcing leading players to wait, or worse, die due to being unable to see the next obstacle or because they hold too much of a lead.
In my opinion, I think two player co-op is just right.

The disco cutscene surely looks better when all the four heroes are dancing with the Magician, doesnt it. How you were going with the Moskito flights in 4 player co-op Master4lyf1?

It's certainly easier to get lum medals in mosquito levels when there are four instead of one.
Mosquito levels are probably best for four player co-op, since players move along a predetermined path, all they need to worry about is defeating obstacles and not dying from them.
