If it's anything like I've been and goes for like six months it'd be worth getting checked out for PCOS or similar.

- This is it...today marks the end of The Legend of Korra, and possibly the Avatar series as a whole. It will be dearly missed.

Luckily I came on a few days ago. This sort of thing always worries me because there's history in the family.

Keane, are there any other medical professionals you can go to? I'm not sure what country you're in, but if healthcare is free there should be a number of confidential services available to you. Obviously, if you have to pay for a doctor's appointment things are much more difficult :(

Unfortunately, he's currently situated in America. There are plenty of walk-in facilities/services still that work outside the realms of healthcare, though that process might be a little more dodgy. It's really ...depressing... that this sort of thing isn't an inherently free trait of all such developed first-world countries.

Keane, I'm beginning to wonder whether you've been really unlucky with personal encounters, or if there's a stigma present that wouldn't be there if you were communicating online. You don't seem to have trouble at all here (though maybe that can be attributed to the former), would it make a difference if you'd met someone in particular online or in person first?

- My grandmother had a stroke a few days ago and lost control of her right side. We went to the hospital right away and she'd fallen into a vegetative state before the end of the night, then two days later she passed away from pneumonia as a result of the paralysis. It was expected for some time as it wasn't her first stroke, but it was very sudden. She was one of the nicest people I knew, I can't believe she's gone now.

I feel sorry for you, Adsolution. Sadly, it can happen that all of a sudden somebody you love is just gone. I remember my grandmother disappearing in the same situation as yours during march, and I was also sad because I was "stuck" in the US with no possibility of going to her funeral.

+++ Okay, got hired yesterday! It was a crazy story, to say the least. Here is a quick recap:

1) Monday 3 PM : Sent the application for the job.
2) Monday 4 PM : The recruiter contacted me and told me he wanted to meet me. We agreed to meet the following day.
3) Tuesday 11 AM : Interview. The guy is very interested and told me he would have a meeting with the client on Thursday morning.
4) Thursday 10 AM : Meeting with the client. They are interested and want to hire me.
5) Thursday 6 PM : Meeting with the recruiter, we talk contract ans stuff, and I signed it.

Like...I've spent more than two months searching for an engineer job, got nothing serious, and then in only 4 days, bam, I'm hired :). The job in itself is very interesting, and I'm moving a bit out of the capital but not too far. I can still go there with a train, and it would take only 40 minutes to reach it.

+ Dealing with papers today. It's almost done.
- I should paint, I still have to make 3 paintings for christmas presents.
- Freaking broke maaaaaan.

Glad everything just kept getting better saer. :)

+/- Going to attempt 'mushroom bacon' tonight - aka not fakeon but mushrooms cooked to share the same flavour themes and texture as bacon. It's basically portabello slices in a maple syrup/soy sauce/smokey stuff marinade popped in the oven for twenty... could go right, could go wrong.

Damn, that's unfortunate. But being able to look back upon a person in that way is sweet. Hope you're alright Ad.

Kind of. Something that will just immediately turn me away is when I'm willing to be a little more open and I get flat out rejected. It's become a joke now to endlessly mock the time when I was very interested in Net Neutrality and I kept "boring" my mother and brother with stories about it. They don't do it to hurt me, rather they're just so ignorant of the whole thing that's going on with me that they can somehow get me to legitimately hate them at times and have no idea why I'm upset. And that situation is not a huge deal, it's just my opinion over a political thing. But it's one of many, any examples where this shit happens. It's just more stuff contributing to what I've complained about before with my mother wanting me to be some sort of overly optimistic, stereotypical teenager. You just shut up after a while, because you don't expect anything good to come out of sharing something about yourself. And if you then develop something like I have on top of it, that hits twice as hard.

As for online, RPC's just kind of a different thing I think. I can't name anyone here who's got that kind of shallowness that I really can't stand. As long as someone isn't being an asshole, no one's really gonna call them out for anything, and if they did we'd probably criticise them for doing so. Especially when you take in mind that I'm not too far away from having been here for four years, RPC is just a place where I know everyone so well and for such a long time that I almost have a sort of family like relationship with this place.
