Who knows? Maybe they will never update it. Everybody wants Region Free but Iwata wont do it. Then again, it is to save money. Nintendo ID is something that would not get them money loss.

Cool! But I don't really get what the fuss is about with the UbiArt engine. It's a great engine, sure, but it's not like it's the only or even the first engine to be capable of doing all that. Both CryEngine and the UDK are available and with some programming on your part (which the UbiArt engine definitely requires too), they can be just as artist-friendly. They're made for real 3D games though, while UbiArt seems to be made for 2.5D. I bet that the 3D engine they want to make similar to UbiArt will be just like CryEngine and the UDK.

But doesn't these cost money though?
edit: answered my own question, they don't cost money.

no doubt in its simplicity, but what makes Ubiart stand out is probably that 1. its more art related to the others, who focus on story or gameplay than the do artistic design. 2. UbiArt is more so adapted for side scrollers then previously stated 3d versions of similar product.

This better be much better than Ro for 3DS
I find it odd as to why RO on 3DS was such a crap port, it seriously should be an easy game to port.
Look at Capcom, Street Fighter IV, a 3D fighting game originally on the 360 and PS3, PORTED to a handheld pretty much perfectly, and look at Resident Evil Revelations, an open world 3D horror game ported perfectly. RL should be possible to port to 3DS very easily, if the team gets lazy like they did with RO on 3DS, I'll be pissed.
As for the Ubiart engine I am stunned at how awesome it is, I really hope this becomes released to the public, it truly deserves it.

I'm no artist, but I'd love to see the engine in action proper.

I would like public release too. It means more awesome platformers released

If the ubiart engine ever got released they should include all the RO and RL levels, think about it. Someone could mod the rest of the Origins levels in RL style perhaps.

Eh? How does a game engine have anything to do with ROM hacks?

I am no expert but I guess it makes it easier to make.

A ROM hack is taking an existing game and modifying it, UbiArt is a game engine where one can create games.

Holy crap, I love the Infinite Tower "As far as you can" challenges. They always have some new, crazy obstacle in them.

I feel this way about Land of the Livid Dead... sad I have not gone back to playing in a few days.

The challenges are a breeze for me now but I still say they are very enjoyable.

Vampire bats.
But yeah, the vampire world was scrapped, but if we're lucky we might get it for DLC.
can't find what you speak of, where can the scrapped content be found?

It's all in here. Lots of scrapped things, like the strange Cyclops motif in Olympus Maximus and an odd spider enemy.
