I've always wanted to visit Enschede Even if you were being serious, I can't travel abroad right now - otherwise I'd probably decide to grab a Eurostar to Paris and give myself a good excuse for being alone on NYE! Thanks anyway though, that's very sweet of you.

I mentioned this earlier a month or so back (maybe two, now) - maybe you missed it -, but my grandfather passed away. We set free his ashes the day after Boxing Day.

Nah, sister! Ad lives in Canada, whereas I live in Holland. There's a nine hour gap between us - while over there, I suddenly realised how bad it is; just when you've woken up and you're about to begin your day, the day here has reached its end. Then the next nine or so hours are spent with waiting for the Dutchies to get back up from bed, right at the time when your happy Canadian self goes to bed. It's a rather unfortunate temporal loopfuck.

And British Columbia at that, so, as a Canadian, I couldn't possibly be further away! Yeah, it's only 10 AM on the 31st for me at the moment.

+ My SNES/N64/GC and PlayStation s-video cables arrived, and I couldn't be happier with how much superior it is to composite. Now my recordings don't have effing dot-crawl.

I don't know if it'll make you feel any better Candish, but many people (including myself) hardly even take note of events like New Year's, so it might as well just be any other day, one where there's just as good a chance that no one's free to hang out as any other day. I myself wouldn't even have made any plans if it weren't for my brother's party, I was just going to, aside from do a bit of shopping, sit in my room and play Black Flag for most of the day.
