Hehehe, that's one way to put it.
I think my Infernape (Flameking) had Pokerus all the way back in Platinum, I didn't know how it worked back then, pity too, it'd been awesome.

From the four generations I've played so far.
In my opinion: Kanto > Johto > Hoenn > Sinnoh > Kalos > Unova

Don't get my wrong, there are a lot of new Pokemon that I like in the new Regions, but I prefer the design and evil Teams of the older Regions.

Don't worry, I know some have justifiable reasons for their preferences, but there are also those who just hate on newer instalments for the sake of it

I know, they are called Genwunners.

Ah, yes, that's the term, I didn't want to use it lest I sound offensive.

Bah i'd only point the "Genwunner" label if someone sounded obnoxious when they say Kanto is the best, after all there's nothing wrong with even disliking new gens over the oldies but it makes you look stupid if you go on (read: whine) about it everywhere.
Ofc for me the regions go as follows :
Hoenn = Kalos > Unova = Kanto-Johto* > Sinnoh
*I prefer Kanto and Johto as joined regions, like how you get "Eurasia". Individually it'd be Unova > Johto > Sinnoh > Kanto

Wow, I never found a Pokémon with that. But I was lucky enough to find two shinies.

Funny just how much mathematics is involved with Pokémon, yet it remains deceptively simple to more casual players.

Being on a games course I know how much maths there is in developing games, even the simplest of games have some sort of mathematical calculation in it. What I find funny about the calculations in Pokemon is that (prior to Gen 6 I believe? Or more like it was proper verified in Gen 6) Pokemon from Japan always had a higher shiny/pokerus rate.
Emerald was the first and only game I ever got Pokerus in.

I got pokerus in Soulsilver while looking for a shiny scarmory, at the same time I got a shiny graveler that came with the pokerus. I guess I'm lucky?

Speaking of shinies a lot of people seem to be obsessed with them this gen. I understand you get a Poke Radar in the game (Like in D/P/Pt) but I'm still confused by the sudden hype of them.

I guess it's one of those things that became well known due to information on them becoming more widely available, and the novelty of having a Pokemon which, by mathematical standards, is pretty hard to obtain legitimately can be quite the allure, but having it such that they can be easily obtained with some methods these days kind of makes the whole novelty factor redundant.
