Hmm, I'll admit, I haven't gotten to AJ yet, so I can't really give a rebuttal or personal affirmation to that. But, I'll take your word for it. Hmm, though I guess you have a point about remaking the Phoenix Saga, I'm well aware of it coming out on the GBA originally (the year names on various tracks do tip off the Pre-DS origins), and yeah, even on the DS, you can kinda tell that there's been some carry-over.

I have conquered the three stars rank in Mario Kart 8 right now. Next I shall beat the Nintendo staff ghosts to get the missing stamps and then the game is complete for me. I want to race online with some members here with the game, one day!

My NNID is sonicbrawler182 if you want to play with me.
Alternatively, if people don't want to deal with friend requests, I could set up an RPC tournament, make it private, and post the code for it here. Then we could all play together. I could even record it, or even use it for testing streaming or something.

There should be a group for RPC if there is a good number of players here willing to participate.

I can create the group today if people are down for it.
I won't be active in it myself too much until I get my Wii LAN Adapter this coming week (hopefully Monday), but I can set it up and play right now.

How will I be able to join? Sorry if this may be a dumb question, but I really have no clue.

I'd like to join in, I'm actually looking for a router extender, so my online connections shouldn't be a problem soon.

It's now open. Just select the "Search by Code" option in the Tournaments menu, and enter the tournament code to join. Once you do this, the tournament will appear in your favourite tournaments for easy access in the future.
I'll make a topic for this too.
The tournament is more of a general community for RPC members to play with each other in, so it will be open daily, and rankings will reset each day.

Pretty much the exact same story that half of the Smash 4 newcomers have had behind them, as well as various Brawl newcomers that were intended for Melee.
I dunno, it never really excites me when I hear characters could have got into a past Smash game, since a lot of ideas were likely thought off. They just have to wittle it down to the characters who are truly worth adding, or are possible to add at all.

I fear Rayman will never appear in a Smash game.

As perfect a fit that he is, it will likely never happen. Ubisoft has no specifically noteable connections to Nintendo, and most of all - he's not Japanese made, unlike every other character in the history of the series.

I'm kind of the opposite really, hearing that Snake was supposed to be in Melee kind of blew my mind. I've always been sort of fascinated by beta elements and scrapped ideas in games.

Well, I suppose hearing Snake and Sonic were supposed to be in Melee blew mind at the time, but at the same time, third party characters in Smash were only really starting then.
Pac-Man was a much less surprising addition to me than the other third party newcomers to begin with, partly because he came after Sonic and Mega Man had already been confirmed for Smash 4.
I am fascinated by gaming trivia in general though, hence, I'm a huge fan of Did You Know Gaming and Did You Know Voice Acting.
Oh, and I feel I should mention this, but any of you German users out there are lucky enough to get the 3DS version of Smash Bros a day early. Since October 3rd is a national holiday for Germany, Nintendo have decided to release the physical version of the game on October 2nd in Germany. However, the digital version will still be available no sooner than October 3rd.
