Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge was originally a Wii U exclusive launch title. A couple months later, the announced it was coming to PS3 and 360.
They most likely paid a lot to Microsoft for that. I doubt Microsoft would make an exception like that.

Let me tell you a Microsoft quote:
"Titles for Xbox 360 must ship at least simultaneously with other video game platform, and must have at least feature and content parity on-disc with the other video game platform versions in all regions where the title is available. If these conditions are not met, Microsoft reserves the right to not allow the content to be released on Xbox 360."

So no GN, I did not blame Microsoft for no reason.

I agree with Sonicbrawlers thoughts about Microsoft.
When it comes to gaming lately, Microsoft has always had a shit attitude towards it, let's all admit, if it weren't for our constant complaining, the Xbox One could have been one of the worst systems ever possibly made. Do you guys remember Microsoft employees started raiding wii U events? Telling people to buy an Xbox one instead. Microsoft is a very skeptical company, however it is the people who defend everything they do that are even worse.

Yeah i just cant trust them anymore, especially when they say things like "We can’t just flip a switch to turn off DRM. The console was built around it" then like a week later do just that.

That has been proven to be wrong long ago. That law only applies to Xbox Live Arcade games. As SegaNintendoUbisoft said, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge was released on Xbox 360 later than the Wii U. Same for Deux Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut.

It's obvious that Ubisoft didn't think and just decided to give the same release date for every console, maybe to make it remain "relevant" and avoid it from becoming "old". After all, spoilers of the Wii U version would have been uploaded already on youtube.

If you ask me, Rayman Legends would have sold better with the original release date and as a Wii U+PC exclusive.

Platformers sell better on Nintendo consoles, and even Sonic fans are aware of that.

Like I said before, it is possible but developer must pay the price. Ubisoft is not that rich. Plus they wrote that quote in their website so it can't be wrong plus they say that "If these conditions are not met, Microsoft reserves the right to not allow the content to be released on Xbox 360." which clearly means they can still make exceptions (like given examples) but it must not be easy since rarely any games do that.

I doubt Team Ninja has enough money to do that.

Now we might never get another Rayman game, though, looking at how developers treat games that don't sell well these days.

Well I would think releasing Legends on Ps3 too would be a good idea considering Origins sold best on PS3, not to mention not doing so would isolate Rayman fans who have been playing on the Playstation platforms since the first game, of course those who wouldn't be able to access those other platforms.

I think Ubisoft will treat their mascot with more respect than that. Ubisoft probably realizes that the delay was a bad idea, and they won't do something like that again.

Don't forget Temco and Temco Koei. I am sure they all made some deal with Microsoft.

I'm really sad to hear about RL's poor sales... it's a shame people throw there money away pre-ordering the new Call of Duty and such. GTA V looks good and all, I'll probably get it, but I'm sad to see so much non-support for RL now... oh well.

After looking at how Capcom treated Megaman, their mascot... I doubt it.

I wouldn't compare Capcom to Ubisoft, just saying.

Exactly... but as I said, that only applies to Live Arcade games. Rayman has nothing to do with that.

Unlike Capcom, Ubisoft doesn't get butthurt when someone leaves their company, nor do they screw over people with on disk DLC. The only reason why Megaman is being neglected is because they're pissed off that Inafune left, so their killing off his best creation as a way of saying "fuck you".

I hope Rayman Legends does decent in Japan. Origins should have increased Rayman's name. Before Origins nobody remembered Rayman in Japan. Rabbids games did not even have Rayman's name in title.
I am sure most Japanese would rather play Rayman game than CoD or GTA.
But Origins sold most on PS3 and not Wii so keeping Legends only on Wii U (and Steam) in Japan was a bad move.

Now that we're talking about Inafune...

Damn, I'm still waiting for those Rare ex-developers to make a Kickstarter for the Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor for Wii U that they were promising so much on Twitter.

Given the attitude of Grant Kirkhope during Game Grumps, and how nostalgic he felt about working with his team, it seems that they didn't even begin to work on the project. Maybe they cancelled it?

Yyyyyyeah...about that....

err...

Rayman Origins didn't even reach the thousand copies sold in Japan. Only the PS3 version barely made it.

The charts are very sad:

http://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=Rayman+Origins

Also, looking back at those sales, Rayman Origins didn't pick up as well in sales as Ubisoft said. But hey! here's a fun fact!

Rayman Origins sold a million copies more than Rayman 2 and all of its ports. How crazy, huh?

To comment on the sales, vgchartz is not the most accurate thing in the world. Besides, it was thought Origins was a flop, but Ubisoft stated that it was rather profitable.

I was pretty damn shocked when I saw the Rayman 2 sales for the first time. I always assumed it did much better than that. It must be pretty profitable though, due to all the ports being made over the years.
