+ Xen's been so personable lately.

+ A lot of old-timers have become active again: BadGuy, Candish, Xenon, and even Hoodcom (though that was more like 2013, he did raise himself from having been dead for probably a good five or six years).

- A little disappointed that you'd otherwise see me as an impersonal guy

Looks like Fifo's left a bigger impact on you than Hoodcum himself.

Yeah, I know, just kiddin. The forum seems like a more personable place now than it did a few years ago. It's more about us, as users, than the topics we are discussing.

As for old Hoodcum, what's Fifo got to do with it?

I guess now the games have all come out and all the 8-year-long-waiting hype for Origins as 'the next Rayman game' is over that inspired so many of this (spiraldoor being my prime example) to start creating all kinds of sweet theories, we've all started to turn more to each other than to the games. What a nice progression. I suddenly realised, by you pointing that out, that that may be the exact reason some people don't frequent anymore. I mean, I assume life has its own treasures for them now anyways, but that could be a factor - the evolution of the forum as a whole probably means some people lost interest in it I guess.

I like the community as more of a community than a gathering of fans. We are fans of the Rayman series (and others) - but we are more than only fans meeting up in a common place somewhere in the tiny strings of the global Internaeic Web.

He was just kidding though! But he wasn't!

I think there's also the issue that people have grown up. This is a place that requires time, and not everyone's going to allot time to RPC when they've got uni/jobs/etc. to do.

I mean, yeah, totally. I left here for about half a year to upwards of a year - can't quite recall - as I moved out of my parental home and jumped up from Secondary to University. Then I came back once I'd settled back into this new rhythm and found more time to join you guys for our daily antics. But at that time, the forum had grown awfully quiet. It wasn't until you returned recently, that others (coincidentally?) started coming back and livening up the place.

And don't get me wrong, I've had tons of fun posting with my friends that still hung around here.

I just tend to come back when there's banter, and Candish's return was always certain to bring more of that

-- So, Molly was gagging quite a bit this morning, though nothing like the sick-n-shitfest debacle on Friday. She still wasn't drinking or eating at all, so we took her to the vet for them to hydrate her and give her the dose of antibiotics she otherwise would not be consuming. Her throat has definitely improved, but she's got a little temperature. After coming back she did eat a tiny bit of food, which is good, but it's likely we'll have to take her back tomorrow for another dose in any case.
- She's so under the weather, my sweet angel... what a stressful weekend. She's now napping (with her butt directly on the remote, gotta give that a wipe before using it ) next to me on the sofa downstairs, not where she normally likes to be.
+ But at least there have been improvements.

I hope Molly gets fully allright, Candish. I understand it, my cat was almost going to die.

A lot has happened!
- I got notes for two songs (White Christmas and fragments of Fiddler on the Roof) last Wednesday evening, and it turned out I have to play with the orchestra and big band in 1,5 days. I was so stressed and I had to skip lessons on Thursday to do it.
+++ but the concert was fucking awesome, I played glockenspiel, chimes and improvised like 18 songs on snare with brushes. I loved my 'first' concert, and it went way better than I expected, cuz I've never played with orchestra and/or big band before. Now I've got another concert coming up this Saturday, and I'll be singing in choir (meh) then playing some marimba, yay!
- fuck, transporting and setting up the marimba is a pain in the ass.
