You shitting me? It has dual A5 processors, that's almost three times faster and more efficient than the iPhone 4, making it one of the most efficient Smartphones on the market. I also don't see how it's "beginning" to annoy you, as it's been like this for nine years.
The Galaxy SII is still better in every way.
Remember, I've only started to write normally when I started posting here, so I never really got to type iPhone.
galaxy SII was banned here because it had copied the iPhone (even the cores and stuff) :confus:
REALLY? WTF?! In the Netherlands?! I've always respected Holland for legalizing pot, but what the hell?!

It's not legalised, it's just not entirely forbidden.

You are kidding me. :boon:

But I read something interesting. Apple processed Samsung due to an attempt of "trying to copy the smartphone market". Samsung replied by a discovery of a hidden software in the iPhones that violate the Privacy Policy, which makes Apple collect the data of everything what the users do in their iPhones.

I would like to see what happens next.

It's funny, seeing that Samsung used to manufacture parts for older iphones.
What's even funnier is that apple is not only going after Samsung, but other companies too, namely the big names in the smartphone business, like HTC.

And to think Apple once promoted themselves for being open:

Oh, the irony...

I believe it is more a reflex of "We're doomed". I've lost interest in the iPhone since a good while...

Please do some research before spitting out uneducated allegations. How can you "copy" a processor core design, when it's a part of the widespread standards specifications made by ARM? Samsung, who made the Galaxy S II, is also the manufacturer of SoC (System-on-a-Chip) for all generations of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. An SoC contains the CPU, GPU, RAM, controllers and interfaces for voltage, bus-communication, flashing, etc.

Besides, Galaxy S II is far distinct from iPhone, mostly ergonomically, while the original Galaxy S was more questionable however, mostly due to the software launcher, which spawned the lawsuit by Apple, because of so-called "design patents", being inspired as well from general concepts. Lastly, Apple is neither original or innovative. They was the first to create a multitouch "smartphone", but definitely not the first smartphone nor the general implementation of multitouch. Another interesting note, is that iPhone (announced January 9, 2007), might have been inspired by LG Prada (announced on December 12, 2006). Both have a slate form factor with slightly rounded corners and a chrome bezel surrounding the screens.

Btw. a followup to everyone:

WOW! It's almost as good as the 8 months old top tiers on the smartphone market, which still happens to have more powerful specifications. Even my 6 month old Galaxy S II have a dual-core CPU in Samsung Exynos 4210 that has been overclocked from 1.2 to 1.6 GHz, still running rock-stable. And the quad-core GPU, Mali-400 MP4, specified in 2008 by ARM, is still surviving as the best there is today, being theoretically able to output 250 million triangles per second, which is almost the same as PS3. Anyone that think Apple devices have high-end hardware should be slapped with fish. By the way, I hope the rumors are true that Galaxy S III are going to contain quad-core CPU with 2.0 GHz. Hence, it's just before everyone except Apple enters the quad-core era.

Wow. o_o PP, are you Spiral's apprentice or something? If so you're doing a great job.

On the subject of Apple products I don;t have an iPhone. However I do have an iPod which is basically the same thing except without a phone. :L

Actually only PS3's GPU outputs those triangles, and I expect that CPU to not do fragment shading.

Mali-400 MP4 has 4 fragment processors that essentially forms every of its cores, while keeping vertex performance static, as the CPU is not supposed to do graphics operations. I also said theoretically, as it does require a lot of pure low-level optimization and some overclocking in the pipelines in order to harness the full potential of Mali-400 MP4, and most mobile applications has to deal with a lot of different hardware, appealing to as many as possible by coding against general standards and abstraction layers. It's true that something like changed resolutions can make a huge difference, even when 1080p resolution on MHL+HDMI works darn well with Galaxy S II, seamlessly not affecting graphics performance.

Apple didn't win the case in Netherlands, and it was even primarily about Galaxy Tab 10.1:
The ban will begin on October 13th.

A Dutch IP attorney has pointed out that the judge has ruled patent 1,964,022 to be null and void, meaning Apple can no longer make claims in the Netherlands based on this patent. The judge also found that Samsung did not infringe on patent 2,098,948.

According to Tweakers.net, Samsung says that it will replace the software that infringes on Apple's patent (the Gallery application, specifically), which should allow it to continue to sell the phones. Notably, that Gallery application is the standard Android one used in Android 2.3, which also explains why the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is not affected by this ruling. Less clear is what the ruling means for other Android phones that use the same application.

Even if Apple might be a tyrannical company today, it's no doubt that Steve Jobs was visionary, charismatic, iconic, and a brilliant businessman, though I didn't respect him for taking most of the credit away from Steve Wozniak, the true innovator and mastermind behind Apples earliest inventions. But we can truly thank Jobs for starting NeXT and Pixar.
