Paypal is good. But I have also started to suspect are they official or not. They look nice though.

Because of direct debit?

Doing normal transfers to PayPal costs zero by the way.

No. I just sold something for 100€ on eBay and the buyer paied over PayPal. I needed the money physically here in my hands and not online. Because I don't have a bank account (no i won't open one! Banks are speculating with the money you give them) I transfered the money to my mom's PayPal account where it can be transfered to my moms bank account, but when I done that, PayPal thought that money was blocked for a reason I our PayPal accounts were banned. Good I didn't shipped the item yet and the buyer got his money back.

PayPal sucks, is slow, is unstable, and should not be considered a viable mode of money transfer. It may not affect everyone, but with the amount of issues people have had and the amount of money that people have lost with no refunds or reaction from the company, PayPal realistically would be shut down thrice over if only people bothered to take their cases to court like they aught to be doing. PayPal is a good concept, but they're far too untrustworthy.

Recently I tried out using PayPal, and within only a few months I lost $40 because of their stupid, unorganised, nonsensical management. How often does this happen with a bank? Basically never, as there's not a chance in Hell that a real bank would even allow a nickle to be misplaced.

Because I clearly stated that it may not affect everyone, and his counter-argument was "I was never affected." What kind of response is that?

I haven't really had major problems with Paypal in the many years I used it but indeed it can be slow in places, like how it takes several days to transfer money from bank to Paypal.

I never have lost money with Paypal either. But when I do, I will probably stop using it.
