I was listening to the In-Game soundtrack and came across the track titled "Danger Lurking". And I love it. The part I love the most is when it hits at 1:20 and at 2:57. That synthesizer is just so mellow and calm, I wish I knew more songs that sound like that.

I think that wasn't even used in the game. I wonder why they always have to scrap good things.

Hm.
Guys, Rayman Legends should have seriously stayed as a Wii U exclusive, the additional levels are just from Back to Origins .-. ... Also it performed poorly on every other console (And even Wii U, probably thanks to the idiotic boycott), and its fight against GTA V sure punished it. This is the point when Ubisoft is already starting to say that it didn't sell as much they expected along with Splinter Cell.
This seems like a bad moment for the Rayman franchise and Ubisoft's credibility with it (worse part is that it is mostly Ubisoft's fault).

You have some points Sergio. Sad part is that RL is really good game and it does not deserve low sales.

Just in case, I'm not saying this just for bare Nintendo fanboying. From a commercial standpoint, they made a terrible decision by going multiplatform. Using Zombi U as their point of reference for Wii U's success just indicates how blind Ubisoft is becoming. February, the most thirsty moment of gaming this year, was their opportunity to get some great sales, and also kind of help the Wii U's poor image. They should have released RL first on Wii U, then maybe port it to other consoles if it didn't sell as well. It's that simple. And no, those Microsoft policies don't exist, they're limited to XBLA and don't affect games like Rayman Legends.
*sigh*
Looking at the bright side, at least Ubisoft won't ...
... the Rayman franchise.

Maybe due to the poor sales they'll take a break from Rayman and release Rayman 2 ports for about eight years until they come back with a redesigned reboot.

Take in account that Ubisoft propably analyzes the sales too and is clever enough to find the reasons that affect to the them. Remember that the long-term sales matter too and Origins sold well in longer period.

INCOMING RANT, DISCLAIMER:
I DON'T HATE RAYMAN 2!
This probably belongs in the rayman 2 topic but.
One problem I have with rayman 2's latest ports is that there's no need to port them to fucking everything on the planet! Next thing you know its going to be a built-in game for every console starting from 2015! and its gonna be a DLC pack for every game in existence.
Anyways, the only reasons why rayman 2 is brang back is because of nostalgia and ubisoft thinks it 'revolutionized' the industry, I don't mind it being on XBLA and PSN like rayman 3, but releasing it as a launch title for the DS AND 3DS? (milking iiit!)
Come on Ubi, Rayman 2 isn't THAT good!
If it weren't for origins, we'd be stuck with rayman 2 and raving rabbids -.-

It doesn't matter how good or bad Rayman 2 is it matters if they can make money from it. I don't mind that they have released so many because it's never a bad thing to still offer a classic to today's audience and keeps the game, I guess, up-to-date. And if you for some reason can't get the old versions of the game then there's still new ones that are likely on platforms available to you. The problem is that many of them are just too messy to really be a version I and others here will ever play.
Now that I have a new PC version of Rayman 2 I don't see why I'd every play 3D again and deal with its glitches. Doesn't make 3D a horrid game but it would be nice if the next Rayman 2 port (If there is one) is either as polished as the Dreamcast version or Revolution. Rayman 3D should have been the full Revolution experience with no issues or glitching and good looking textures. Another thing that bugs me about 3D is how crap everything looks. The pause menu is just empty & the letters have ugly edges around them (And there seem to be two Hall of Doors tracks playing on top of each other...?). I hate how zoomed out the map is and that the name of a place just barely pops up for a second when you enter it and just... agh. Ugly. Oh and the 3D effect doesn't fucking work so that was a nice first 3DS game. And I know it's a port but come on. It's not advertised as a port so it shouldn't look like I'm playing a fucking 1999 game with minor additional touches. Overall it just really feels like your playing an inferior version and it reminds you way too many times.

Yes, that is a big problem. If it was enhanced in graphics - MAINLY graphics - and in musics, and maybe expand the game and improve upon it, it sure would be nice to see it on any console, but it just feels outdated and old, it doesn't feel to be good enough to fit into the current generation. But they don't care about the quality of the game as long as they can make money from it - as Keane said. If it wasn't for the money, i'm sure the devs would have put more effort into Rayman's ports.

Hm, while Revolution did expand on the core Rayman 2, it did have quite a few glitches, personally, I think the Dreamcast version is solely the most polished. Revolution's additions are nice, but it could be even greater with the Dreamcast's polish, imagine it in 60FPS.

I liked a lot of things about Revolution, like the hub worlds, extended story, and more bosses. There were however, too many changes I disagreed with for me to enjoy it as much as the Dreamcast version, such as the mixing and matching of level sections, and the game asking me whether I want to save every time I load a new area.

I definitely know what you mean, I don't really like constant save prompts and the mix and matching either, barring the one in the Iron Mountains, I loved the Grolem 13 boss fight.

your talking about the 3ds port, right? the graphics weren't that bad... in 2D, and the only glitches i found were having no exit for the 1000th lum and the never-ending lifebar. having not played the dreamcast version at all, some of these complaints really didn't affect me. (played N64, DS, 3DS and PS2 vers.)
Keane wrote:The pause menu is just empty & the letters have ugly edges around them (And there seem to be two Hall of Doors tracks playing on top of each other...?).
the pause menu is the same as the N64 vers. and yes it does sound like two tracks are being played, at least if your volume is in surround. don't know about stereo or mono.

it's a ubisoft port, what do you expect, wind waker HD? and what little advertising they did did state it was a port, aside from the name.
in my opinion, they can port it all they want, just don't expect me to upgrade every time. and legends sales were no doubt the blame of ubisofts lousy marketing, as GTA5 has once again broken guiness records for being the most expensively made, bought, and only having to do with drugs, sex (lots of sex), and anarchy in video game history. and Ubi will probably blame Nintendo again.

Actually, the game has pretty much none of that.
I find it funny how, out of all there is to criticise about that game (and there's a lot), the people who apparently haven't played through the game happen to nearly always imagine up their own flaws that end up being about as far from applicable as possible.
- Not to go off on a tangent, I'm just saying that I find it annoying for that to constantly be the case.

Yeah, I hate having to buy every single port of Rayman 2 and play them all to completion. They're all the same, so what's the point? If only these ports were provided as part of some kind of free market system, where those who want to play them could exchange money for them and those who don't could simply carry on with their lives. Oh well. Maybe one day our society will reach that utopian stage where purchasing products is optional. Until then we can do nothing but rage bitterly against the widespread availability of a classic game for a modern audience.

not sex as in, welll.... doing it. I mean things like sexual harasment, hookers, that sort of thing. you even poparattzi on this celebrity couple having sex in their back yard. there's a minigame where you get rid off this dudes pop-ups full of naked-ass boobs and slutty woman.
I loathe sexual inequality in media. its sick what some people do.

Ah yeah, it is a bit misogynistic, though more in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way.

But Rayman 3 was successful.

also as to be vaguely on topic i don't actually really have a problem with anything in gta, or anything like that. o3o i think my main problem is people buying it for their 8 year olds but that's not really what we're talking about.

On the topic of Rayman Legends' sales. Ubisoft, you have no one to blame, but yourself.
