Oh yeah that’s right, that one cage that needed quick thinking as soon as you step on the switch, that was also terrible for me since I failed twice the first time i ever played.
Ok So i will admit that was one good thing about having the loading music being there

They loaded the HMF three times and the Shock Rocket twice. I wish they had done repeat loads with the other 3 powers at least once.

You know the detergeant powers strike me as really extraneous. I actually keep forgetting they exist, and then it's...oh...that was a thing..

Well, I don't see them as completely extraneous, because when looking at the large combat focus the game has, they still added some variety to the gameplay.

However, like already discussed, they're certainly underutilized.

Vortex is cool because you can shrink enemies, right? You can do stuff with a certain type of platform but I don't know. The heavy metal fist is cool because it is stronger. Like the piggy banks don't need charged. You can break down certain doors but what if the time runs out? The lockjaw can do the electric thing which you use in the final boss but isn't as necessary other places. (I believe) The grabbing onto things is cool but they basically had that in Rayman 2. I guess you had to unlock it though. (Grabbing onto pink lums in Rayman 2) But you don't have the magic fist though in Rayman 3, do you? The shock rocket is nice. I don't know if it is always the best if you have to look for secrets but I like it. I like the mini game a lot with it too. And I voted for it too. The throttle copter is cool but not my favorite.

I'm surprised that not many people voted for the vortex or the shock rocket (though given the shock rocket doesn't last very long, not too surprised why for that one). Out of all the powers on this list, I feel the vortex and the shock rocket are the only real unique ones on this list (every other power has been shown in some form or another in the other games)

I personally always loved the Lockjaw and I also love the Heavy Metal fists. These power ups really suited the overall combat moves Rayman himself had here and they worked really well with the game itself. They fit brilliantly and it would have been a delight yo have seen the original prototype power ups that were concept drafts.

Apparently I voted Shock Rocket, but I don't remember doing that, or why

If I had to pick one though, I remember really liking the Shock Rocket, even in the demo disk!
I liked how you could blow up certain things with it to mess with enemies, and sometimes I actually used it less as a sniping tool and more like a hit and run blast if I was bored of standing around behind a rock. I didn't really play 3 for the scoring system.

Played those missile minigames forever, too. I liked the way the tunnels looked.

Edit: I used to watch the ad for the Shock Rocket quite a lot as a kid thanks to really old YTPs.

I definitely like the Lockjaw the most because it lasts for the longest.

Wow, this actually makes me feel a bit envious – the idea of being able to just mess around with all the stuff in Rayman 3 without worrying about the scoring system. I mean, physically there's nothing stopping me doing the same thing, but I feel I'd go nuts not comboing stuff!

My vote goes for heavy metal fist. I like the red attire Rayman wears with this power-up, and the fists' design too.

I can see I voted for the Heavy Metal Fist, which makes sense as I still think it looks pretty cool.

Unfinished indeed! Cut (or was it one of the other scorers? ) once pointed out that it's the only one that doesn't appear in the final boss, and when he hacked it in, he could see why – it's so damn buggy!

Once you shrink them, you can stomp on them one-shotting them in the process.

Lockjaw because it lasts the longest so it's more useful for increasing your score. It's also such a fundamental power; swinging on things in mid-air is a defining Rayman ability.

I remember that now you say it, but it felt so much more convenient to keep shooting at them that I ended up never doing that at all. Plus you'll probably get hit in the process!

Yeah, it seemed kinda buggy, shrinking yourself would've been kinda funny, Rayman when little is still deadly, Origins/Legends proved that.

What they did with the crazy shoe is somewhat similar, though a lot more limited.
