Re: E3 2016
Isn't the new Quake game just a Team Based shooter, a la Team Fortress or Overwatch?

I wouldn't worry too much over Brad's negative opinions. While he has every right to express them, he just needn't become repetitive when we heard it the first million times.Rayfist wrote:You didn't even like half of the things announced. You don't think that sounds slightly bias?

It is, but it is also the sign of the revival of the franchise.Master wrote:Isn't the new Quake game just a Team Based shooter, a la Team Fortress or Overwatch?
Which will probably lead to the development of future campaign focused episodes based on the Shub-Niggurath or Strog war timeline.

Re: E3 2016
That's a fair point, though time will tell if it does culminate into anything of note.

Not that I've played it yet, I'm interested to see what folks have to say about Doom's VR experience.

Re: E3 2016
I've already played the Doom reboot and it's pretty damn good, so I wonder how that'll play with VR.
Re: E3 2016
Aye, E3 sucked for me. I'm speaking for myself. Nothing really impressed me. So personally it was eh.

Well as long as you speak on your behalf and not others. Cause for me: I think it was awesome for SONY/Microsoft fans. I wasn't expecting much from Nintendo to begin with.
Re: E3 2016
Exactly. I don't have anything to look forward towards those companies because I don't have any of their systems, so I don't have anything to be excited for. And Nintendo stated way beforehand that they weren't gonna have much, so this year was nothing to get excited personally.

Re: E3 2016
Well for the Nintendo fans: Zelda Breath of Wild looks awesome (graphically could be a tad better, but maybe NX will give that a little boost), and Rhythm Heaven Megamix looks fun, I should buy that soon.
Re: E3 2016
Fewer releases means I can save money for my NX + Animal Crossing bundle, so I'm ok with Nintendo's release schedule. Sun & Moon + Zelda will definitely fill in until the NX and everything that follows comes around. Assuming the guaranteed titles like Mario Kart and Smash came out too recently to be pumping out sequels next year, I'm kind of expecting a major 3D Mario + Metroid/Animal Crossing/Pikmin for 2017.
I'm not sure how they're planning to handle a March launch though, I guess there'll be another direct announcing launch games around December or January? I'm skeptical of them not going completely nuclear but...they wouldn't fuck up and release it without any big title alongside again...r-right.
