Sounds nice indeed!
I forgot to mention that I just had a weird dream that involved getting kissed on the cheek by a tipsy coworker

Interesting dream, it almost sounds like something you would see in The Office.

It's now time to file a complaint to HR for inappropriate behavior in the workplace.

I think it was at a party of some kind though, not in the workplace per se!

If anything, that's certainly not the weirdest dream you've had!

Unfortunately, I didn't have a Valentine this year.
I don't know why, my card was absolutely crushing it, I thought...

I think you need to add "FOR EVER".

I bought my girlfriend a bottle of wine this year along with some roses and a card. I had a few beers while she drank her wine and we just chilled. It was a fun day.

We don't celebrate Valentines, but we had my mom over since she was returning from a trip to the England so we still had a nice dinner.

Tbh, I can't remember doing something special for Valentine's Day unless it was a weekend. Maybe the exception was in 2022, but that was because I hadn't seen my ex in a while. Even though I haven't celebrated it for a couple of years, I think I have quite a bit more peace in my life right now than I did in 2022.

Your mention of the weekend reminds me what one of the morning traffic reporters on the radio said a few weeks earlier. She and her boyfriend decided to do Valentine's the Saturday before, because neither could be bothered going out to dinner on a work night

I haven't been in the situation of working at night, but it's more or less the same point. As we had to get up so early the next day, it wasn't really worth it to have a special celebration for Valentine's Day. Also, I don't think a Valentine's Day plan would have been really that different compared to our weekly plans, which included going out to lunch/dinner most of the times.

No girls this year, but I just want to wish the RPC a happy Valentine’s Day!

I'm a bit of an oddball, I don't really
have a special someone. Instead, I buy chocolates for family and friends!
I haven't actually gone to buy chocolates yet...And it's super cold. And I still don't have my flu shots.
Think I'll just stay home this year...

As usual, I will have no Valentines this week (see : the 'Off Topic' topic).
But, on the recommandation of my therapist, I'm going to the bar on my own tonight. What I'll do when I get there, I do not have a goddamn clue.
I'm stressing out already, but I have to step out of my comfort zone.

Don't feel bad if you don't have a good experience. I've been to tons of bars and felt like it was a waste of time. But actually, an experience is an experience. It's the reason I can write this now.
Fate always surprises us, but I believe it's valuable to push the odds in our favour. I mean picking a place that attracts interesting people, maybe artsy people for someone with your abilities, and educated is usually a plus.
You have to be prepared to do the heavy lifting. A kind soul may be put off if someone isn't reciprocating, but a kind soul will lose a lot of opportunities this way. The social extravert has a knack for becoming interested in strangers, learning random facts about them, as if (to us) they were a brand new Rayman title. This technique is something to work towards, and again, an environment that you feel comfortable in will help a lot!
I don't mean this to sound patronizing. I've had a lot of trouble with this sort of thing my whole life, so I relate. And I'm also spending valentine's alone, but since I stopped caring about that stuff, people seem a lot more interested in me.

I'm thinking about just having a good time today, even if I can't go and spread the love via delectable confectioneries. Chronic's gonna make some hot cocoa later today because it is COLD. I'm just gonna spend time with my sibs, and chill.

My gf and I are approaching the 1 year mark but unfortunately we're not able to be together today, not that it matters though because we both put 0 stock in Valentine's Day. It's too commercial for us to care about. We'll make any day special and we don't really need a reason either

Year old comment but this will always be relevant: looking for a bar or place to eat on Valentines Day is one of the worst dates you can ever have, unless you're very lucky
