Does Mario really count as “cartoon game” I love Mario and I know you do, but he’s not really the same as Cuppy or bendy

Yes, absolutely, the Mario series is a cartoonish series! I mean have you seen Yoshi like

Would you like a similar score system for Rayman 4?
Mmm, I think I'd rather leave that out of a Rayman 4 game. It gets really stressing to score in R3 (which is one of the the main reasons I haven't returned to it as of yet along with still being at Rayman Advance in terms of playing)

I’d like it to have a score that’s permanent until you die, and it’s open world

An open world eh? That's become quite a trend to video game series lately, I'd be curious to see an attempt at a Rayman open-world game.

Rayman Raving Rabbids looked like it would've been a open-world style game, at least judging from the leaked proto

Yeah! Or maybe it would’ve just been like hyrule warriors

If we get another 2D classic Rayman, I'd much rather see a complete version of the SNES and Rayman 2 2D cancelled games.
Those had extremely interesting ideas, both for their worlds, their art style and their gameplay.
Wouldn't it be cool if that prototype from the PS1 version of R2 be a sequel for R1 which then ties into R2?
It would be a perfect way to tie the stories together indeed!
Would be a great step to improve the franchise's consistency in terms of story and universe, as well as working as an effective reminder of Rayman 1/Rayman 2's lore for the newer players (who may not be familiar with them) until we get to an actual sequel!... Well, as long as it would be done right of course...

You know, I’d rather the original proto was found than we made a new game on it, but I still hope for the proto restoration fangame is successful!

I would prefer the open world with the characters from Rayman 2, but I think it would have been very interesting to see the approach they would have taken in Rayman 4. It would have been curious to see if it was an open world with side quests and different activities or something like Rayman Revolution's hub

Anything but the hub

Looking at the poll, I find it remarkable that the next thing that people want after a new 3D title, is ROTD.

but it’s no surprises that new 3D won

That project was well known a few years ago even in non-RPC communities, so no wonder the forum people themselves wanted to play it

I also think it's remarkable to see how many people want something from Rayman 2 again (remake, remaster of some version...).

It’s been 16 years since it started, but it’s good that it’s still in progress

I understand ad has a very busy life and it’s hard to stay on top, but it looks like it’ll be finished soon

I still get surprised by seeing how many voted for Revenge of the Dark, as it's even going above a sequel to Legends and some remasters/remakes despite the fact there's up to 4 choices!
I remember that I added RotD back then as it had a lot more hype around it from people hoping for it to be "Rayman 4" (as that would have been more likely to happen than one from Ubi

). Though this hype kind of died down later on (from 2019 onwards).
Honestly, if this was today, I wouldn't have added that option or I would I replaced it with a general fangame vote, because it feels kind of unfair for the many impressive projects which have sprouted in the recent years (especially since 2020 which also saw the release of the popular Rayman Redemption).
...And if this was today, I would have made something far more condensed and better-looking than this mess of a list of choices with redundant options.
Though, while I'm not that much interested in the project anymore, RotD still is the longest-standing Rayman fangame and probably the one that generated the most hype through its ambition and impressive ideas.
It'll always hold a special place in my heart, no matter how it will turn out!
Speaking of Redemption, now it's weird to see so many votes for Rayman 1 remade versions now that we got a nearly flawless remake, even if Redemption is unofficial and doesn't do much for the graphics!
But let's be real
: we all know deep in our hearts the Rayman game we really want is...
Rayman Golf 2!
If Ryemanni made Rayman Bowling 2 and there's a Garden Plus, then someone has to make that!

I wish that I could say the same thing about Redemption being 'flawless'. Those freaking basketballs!
Also no, absolutely not I do not want a sequel to Legends. I need a break from Ubiart, so maybe a few years perhaps and after we get a different kind of Rayman game or something idk.
