The only reason the game was cancelled on SNES is because that version was too good for our human brains to handle.

Rayman 2's 2D prototype was actually made a full game, Ubisoft just doesn't want us to know.

A couple of the Nymphs from Origins were just named after the actions of the creators getting pizza. It arrived and they were like Holly Luya, then Edith Up

They were also freaking tired with their schoolwork so they came up with names like Helena Handbasket.

There's only one explanation and only one possible conclusion to why the Rayman series changed so much between nearly each game : ancient aliens. I'm not saying it was aliens... but it was aliens.
