Naw, there's some tests and stuff you can get. Like, my brother had a test of some kind or the other when they started suspecting he had an disorder of some kind because he is ill so often and learns slowly, and they could confirm that he has DiGeorge's Syndrome. I don't know how they do it but I guess it is all sorts of DNA stuff and advanced mumbo jumbo like that.
