I bring really bad news for Duke Nukem fans, 3D Realms has no funding anymore from Take Two. So Duke Nukem forever is currently on halt.

What's an FTP server, and what were you doing on Ubisoft's one?!

For those interested, it seems that Metal Gear Solid 5 will be announced at E3, by the way.

I always look here first if I want to know if there is any info of upcoming games that you can't get on other gaming sites. I've been doing this since there was a large archive that contained artwork, screens and more of some of their upcoming games on that server somewhere in 2006/2007. It had the 2 first artworks of the new Prince of Persia.

Probably, but it seems they don't have a public one. They keep their FTP servers private. That's pretty smart, actually. At least nothing gets leaked like this.

I'm really trilled about BG&E as well. Seems that it's a great game, but i didn't really get on how to play it until now ( i should start reading the manuals for games as well ).

I think BG&E 2 is set on earth actually, i could be wrong though, but looking at it makes me think so.

And that public FTP server is actually a good marketing trick, if you leak some artwork for a upcoming game once in a while and people notice it, you are creating interest for the product.

To answer Spiral's question, FTP = File transfer protocol, aka what people use to upload websites with. If it's public, anyone can nick shit from it, and we all know how good Ubi are at leaving things open.

StaceyW, the file transfer protocol can be used for any type of files, and on FTP servers they're general not used for websites, but for other content. But, indeed, it is also used to transfer websites from the designers computer to the server.
