Rayman 2 DLC? You mean the iPhone port?

To quote the words of a wise Bison:
YES!
It sounds like Rayman will become normal by the end of this. The Livingstones have limbs. I have nothing to say which hasn't already been said. I'm a supporter, though, not a hater.

I am a bit disapointed with this, but at least it's better than nothing.
I would have prefered 3D over 2D, though, and if it wasn't being released as episodes. And what happened to Rayman?
I'll probably download the first episode, just because it's the first Rayman game since R3. But if it's no good, I won't download the rest.

What was inside those orbs at 0:32 to 0:40 ? You can see SOMETHING inside them...
And I have to wonder, when will Origins characters be added to the ranks?

Rayman looks and acts like he is stoned, though!

And what if he is? THAT is character development for you.
On another note, the fairy seems to eventually be happy that Rayman is blowing air on her...

I personally think that this looks horrible. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it being a 2D game. I would have preferred 3D, but 2D can create some memorable experiences too - after all, the first Rayman game was 2D too. Likewise, the scenery looks gorgeous. But when I saw the character designs, I died a little inside. it looks like they're going for a so-dumb-it's-funny approach, but honestly, all I could think was "My God, Globox, what have they done to you?" Sure, Rayman 3 was whackier compared to Rayman 2, but this is going too far.

Chill. This is a light-hearted episodic prequel being developed by a team of five. I very much doubt anyone at Ubisoft considers 'Rayman Origins' to be a replacement for the main franchise, even after seven years of absence.
And don't forget, the better it sells, the greater the chance of a new, full-retail Rayman

well, after seeing the arguments here, i'm also disappointed about everybody that's disappointed about the game :<
After having seen the trailer about 10000000 times now, i have to say there is only one thing i wish for in the game..
and that is: that it's as hard as Rayman on the DOS computer.. man i spent some hours completing that game. I hope it will be the same on Rayman origins

From the looks of all the characters appearing in the game, the world of Rayman 1 has been merged into the world of 2/3. They took the livingstones and gave them limbs to fit in the modern Rayman world more.
I bet there will be alot of other characters reappearing, but I have doubts on limbless characters of Rayman's species, such as the Magician and Tarayzan. If they appeared, it would screw the story's plot over.

Bloodgrey wrote:Fine, we where threated poorly by Ubisoft for the past years, but now here's a new game, for us, true fans, it's 2D (that's an advantage, the best Rayman game was 2D, and it was fine this way), it's drawn (3d modelling will never have as much character and soul as original drawings, never),
Most people would disagree with your assertion that Rayman 1 is better than Rayman 2. I would have preferred a 3D sequel like the one they showed us in 2005. And you should never say 'never' when talking about the future, especially in terms of technological advances. I say that 3D models easily have as much character/soul as drawings. If you disagree, it's only a matter of time until the technology becomes advanced enough to win you over. I view the regression to 2D as a minor step backwards but eagerly await the game nonetheless.
Back to the video – The gameplay does look a little hyper-kinetic and momentum-based. I hope I'm wrong, and that it follows a more precision-based R1-style form of gameplay. I don't want Rayman to be sliding around the place like Sonic or (to a lesser extent) Mario.
Also, where is Hunch? I don't think I've seen him here since Rayman Origins was announced. Maybe he had a heart attack and died.

Why is Globox Raymans blood brother? Unless they're...related?

I don't think it goes as far as that.. In Rayman 2, Rayman was a mysterious hero while Globox was a being dreamed by the god Polokus. Perhaps 'blood brother' is more like 'friends for life' in this case.

For those dissapointed by it not being released on Wii, I researched this game, and came across many people saying things about what it's being released on. One said Wii, but it hasn't even come out yet, who knows what will ahppen?
