Rayman Pirate-Community

I wasn't (and am still not) a big fan of the other characters of Rayman's species, but I'm glad the Magician was changed to a Teensie in Rayman Origins.

Me too but I still like those characters.

They had pretty small parts.... At least in my version of Rayman 1.
Besides the Magician, he's cool. But I like him better as a Teensie.

I think my top favourite of all is changing from Magician to.....the blue singing and dancing chibi from the Rayman origins. XD It is just so cute that I die. I can't stop watching the video scene of it smiling and dancing with its blue nose bobbing up and down <3 It just melts my heart ^^ *hugglez it to death*

I personally like the new Magician more than the old one. Don't know why, Maybe because they've given him a bigger role in Rayman Origins. The only attention Rayman ever got from him in the original game was a greedy beckoning hand. Here he'll tutor you about lums. And he's still greedy.

My favorite character is "Classic" Magician to this very day. I'm really not sure what to make of the Teensie Magician. The "story" of Rayman Origins is too confusing for me to know if this is really the New Magician or if it's just a Teensie playing around with costumes.

But... But.... What about those educational spinoffs where he taught all the kiddies to learn simple things or die? And didn't he guard the Book of Knowledge? Or is that all grotesquely non-canon to us?

Probably because the Learning Games were spinoffs rather than direct ties to the main games, they don't really count to consider for The Magician's character?

But can we canon that the musician's wife also plays guitar? In Rayman activity centre she played guitar with him...

At this point, considering how confusing and messed up the Rayman Timeline and Universe is, what you consider Canon is entirely up to you. XD

Kinda wish I could find so much as a "Let's Play" for the game featuring The Magician's cousin. I wanna know more about Andy! Even if it's just a sliver of information.

I don’t mind the way they made they Magician a Teensy, but they definitely should have made more of an effort to reinforce the fact that it’s still the same character. It’s good that they kept the top hat with the star, but what about the blonde hair, the magic wand and the fact that his eyes were always hidden? Those were his only really strong visual characteristics, and it’s a pity they weren’t retained.

Betilla is a lot closer to her original appearance, and the game is better for it. The stone men are insanely close, considering how much some of the other characters have been changed.

Like Polokus. He's nowhere near his original appearance. But I believe that compensates for Magician's less than obvious makeover. I still believe Teensie Magician is the same person as the original one. I think the hat's too obvious for it. He hides inside it. I think that's enough of a hint.

Talk about the devil; I love Polokus' new design.
