I know he portrayed in Rayman Premiers Clics. I actually ripped the French quotes of Rayman in that game and uploaded in RPC, but I think no one cared :mryellow: .

Are you sure the voice actor is different in CP? Because the voice does looks alike Emmanuel's.

Ah, I have ripped them too :D

Certain. Emmanuel Garijo is not credited in the manual of Rayman CP, where all the actors and singers of the game are listed.

If you're interested by the voices in this game :

The actors are Michel Mella, Lemmy Constantine, Michel Elias, Brigitte Guedj and Gérard Loussine.

The singers are Michel Elias, Pierre-Alain de Garrigues (Both have already portrayed characters in some Rayman games), Lemmy Constantine and Mélina.

While I don't have the exact lyrics in front of me right now (next time I can get to the game, I'll jot them down and translate them properly), I can give a general jist.

Basically, Rayman sings that he is the famous Rayman, who is good at fighting with his banana hair and big nose. He then goes on to sing about his incredible friends; Betilla,The English Cricket (That's Joe the Cricket from RAC), The Clown in Love, the Magician, the Monk and a Livingstone. And that's pretty much all there is to it :)

As for the Betilla song, the lyrics are pretty much the same as the English version, so I'm not going to bother translating them. There were only a couple of changes made in translation, mainly to make the rhymes work in English. The main difference I can spot is that she calls herself romantic as opposed to gentle....

Also, thanks for the VA information boomboleros, that's useful :)

And then the Magician betrayed him.

Rayman: - *Singing* I have incredible friends! (...) The Magician (...)

10/11 years later...

Rayman: - ...

In fairness, Rayman CP is set in a time of peace, where nothing is going wrong in the world, so all of the enemies from Rayman 1 are friendly characters not under the control of Mr. Dark here.

I got mine off of Ebay, and while the game is brilliant, I really wouldn't recommend it. It's a nightmare to set up and unless you don't have exactly the right OS, drivers etc. that the game likes, it freaks out and crashes. It truly is a pain :tssk:

*Noticed that as soon as I uploaded the new video, the thread sprung back to life*

I really wish I had less work to do so I could post on this thread more often, but it's exam season! Ah well.

I am not the only one that thought (and still thinks) that Rayman's hair looks just like an upside down banana skin (apart from Rayman himself in the song), am I? I've never heard anyone else apart from Rayman, my brother and myself say it, and Raywiki compares his hair as leaf like...

You're right, in Rayman 1 his hair is banana-like! I always thought of his hair as like 'paper' for some reason. But I like his R1 hair more than the current styles.

Yeah, for some reason he lost a strand of hair in Rayman 2. And by Rayman 3, I'm really not sure what happened! Then again, I really don't like the Rayman 3 design at all. At-least the R2 design still manages to look friendly and Rayman like! R3 Ray just looks like he's trying to be cool and failing, which is probably quite embarrassing for him :mryellow:. I think that design was tided up quite nicely for Origins though, it has life in it again now. Rayman's original design will always be the best though!

That's because the third back strand didn't actually make any physical sense, and was probably only put there to make it look nicer in the angle the 2D animation is conceived from.

I agree! And I think Rayfan is right about what happened with his R2 hair.

Yes, I am still alive!

I'm still going to be really busy over the next few days, because despite having only two more school days until study leave, I then have loads of exams (as soon as the study leave starts. Plenty of revision time right :|). When I haven't been doing school work, I've been busy working on other projects (namely really hard ones involving working on a comic in which all the backgrounds are 3D models). Also, there have been some massive rain storms around these parts lately (so much for a drought ;)) and for ages there has been a small hole in my roof above my computer stuff, so I've had to unplug it all and wrap it up in towels, bin-liners and buckets, with no access to Rayman CP at all :P.

Anyway, enough of that. I've spent this morning tidying up lots of the Rayman CP soundtrack. All of the character specific sing-along songs have been done, as well as six of the many prize songs. I've also done two instrumental pieces, although like I said before - these are pretty hard to edit without adding more noise or loosing part of the track in the process. Still working on it though!

Currently can't stop listening to the Noughts and Crosses theme :P

EDIT: Ah what the hey.

Another song!:

And this is what I get for crudely editing a drawing of Rayman in 5 seconds...

....seriously, I wasn't trying....

In other news, your signature is creepily hypnotic :confus:
