Rayman Origins sounds weird to be a franchise.I mean, two Rayman franchises? Rayman himself IS a franchise, isn't him? I mean, all his games, not the character itself.

Rayman Origins wouldn't become it's own franchise like the Rabbids, it would remain part of the Rayman franchise whilst establishing its own series.
Think of it a bit like to what the Metroid Prime series is to Metroid.

*Its
Positive, it wouldn't work as its own franchise, but it could be an offshoot title like Rayman M and Arena. I'm fairly sure that the next numbered installment will be Rayman 4, not Rayman 5.
Also, just on a sidenote, I think someone should update the
Cage Wiki article.

If Rayman Origins did get a sequel, it could probably end up as something else anyway...

well, I hope rayman lore won't be analcrusaded by those greek gods and castles stuff, hopefully it's not related to Clearing of Dreams in any way

Holy cow!
... So, the Rayman Origins 2 was bullshit uh?

I don't think the images are fake.
It only intrigates me the fact there is going to appear more Earth elements like Greek Mithology. We were hopping for real Raymanish stuff, not more Earth-stuff.
Oh well, E3 2012, E3 2012, E3 2012...

And this is where I exclaim to Spiraldoor...
"I told you so"
Anyway, dragons? Castles? I did not see that one coming. The screens look legit, though. Also seems like there's a soft shade implemented this time.

Not so fast there, there may be pictures but something about them seems a bit odd. We haven't exactly had a complete confirmation directly from Ubisoft yet, either. So I'm going to wait it out a bit before making judgement on this one.

I don't know, they look a bit rough around the edges and not Rayman Origins-y to me. I mean sure, the scenery is there, but something about them feels a bit... Off.

Good of you to remind me. Everybody has access to the original game's textures, they might as well be screwing us over. It says so even in the Kotaku post. If this is confirmed, then by all that is good I do hope the game isn't all about dungeons and dragons.

trading the first game's outlandish world for something a bit more familiar. Seems like a sound strategy to me.
I really would beg to differ. The funny thing is, compared to the Rayman we're used to, Rayman Origins wasn't nearly outlandish enough.

We're so used to Rayman being out of the ordinary that the real world would be out of the ordinary to him.
Edit: I didn't understand what I said either.
