PM please & thanks. :)

@Ikke:
Interesting actually, I'll have to think about it. I actually think you'd be a good voicing for the person who guides you down the night-time river in Fort Night. It's a person with an old sounding raspy voice kind of like the person who sings Somewhere Over The Rainbow, saying things like "Oh, Rayman, look at the stars, they remind me of when I... hahah, I was your age."

A game starring Ikke... :shock:
EDIT: How were you planning of using the voices? I mean, people will have to be able to send you crystal clear data in perfect quality, right? 3DS quality for such a beautiful game would be kinda sad.

I know this was posted a few pages ago, but the amount of pages on this have gone skyrocket since I last checked so sorry for bringing this back up. I just wanted to clarify what I meant. I did in fact mean programming language.
RayFan9876 wrote:If it's a world language, I'll be doing it in English myself, and maybe some fellows would translate it later. If your'e talking about computer language, it would be a mix of Lua, C++, XML, and Actionscript.
Oh, wow, you're writing it in four languages?! How is that possible? Are they all cross-compatible or am I missing a hell of a stepping stone into computer game making?

Back on the active topic:
Some of the voice acting sounds quite nice! Good job guys. I would audition for voice acting, since people think I can act really well (and I can actually fulfil quite some roles; from males to females with an alt voice), but one: I have a shitty microphone when it comes to background noise and that off 'fuzzy' sound you hear; two: I don't really want to send my voice over the Interwebz (yet). Ironically, I do actually have many cartoons on Flipnote Hatena, in which my voice stars as... well, my voice.

Also, if you want Rayman 'gibberish', can't you just use Drolpiraat's ripped SFX from Rayman 2? Visit the Rayman 2 topic on this forum's parent forum to get it. It's quite awesome.

It is a certainly possible combination, although not one Stan would use. XML is designed for.. erm, files and Lua may surely be connected to C++ code. Not sure about Actionscript though, as it basically is used in same area Lua is as long as I know.

The C++ is used for... Well it's obvious... Core functions. Lua is the base of which things of a certain type within the game are based off of. For example, one Lua file could be the base of everything ranging from a health pack to a weapon in an FPS, and the XML is what defines each "item" uniquely to define what exactly the item is and does. XML in gameplay is used to design the gameplay and level events and sequences and such, and comes with a visual flowgraphing system that generates the XML. Actionscript is used to trigger and control the UI and GUI, as it utilizes Flash.

I'm a Betilla now!

BTW is merging Lua with C++ really that easy as Lua creators say? API actually make me think about writing a script language interpreter myself.

I'm not sure. I'm "fair" with Lua but I haven't tried C++ much at all. I don't know the language at all really. In short I can program to an extent, but I really would rather not be the hard-core programmer.

Stan, can you code in Lua / C++?

Small little update on the voicing/characters:

- Ikke, your boat character is now the Musician. If you want to know what the atmosphere will be like, look at part 12 of the soundtrack and listen to the "they speak of a hero" piece. That's what the Musician plays while you ride the boat.

- I'm voicing Rayman. :) Just letting you guys know in case anyone tries to audition for him.
