From what < has heard about higher education in the US, ^ is probably right to not start there.

True, for < there was only 4 art schools in Scotland to choose from (and two of them are old-fashioned...).

< isn't too sure actually, < just minded it was in Dundee and that they didn't want me because the course was full

< did an introductory course on the Open University xD It wasn't too bad tbh just make sure you have a good internet connection if you're doing an exam haha

< thinks US education has a much greater issue than just the price. It's rubbish, endless attempts to scam tf out of you and < hates the corporate atmosphere that too often reminds you that profits are their first concern
< would like to attempt art college in the UK, Netherlands is probably not the most likely option

< is concerned about how some American schools mix religion and science together (such as teaching the creation story instead of evolution, or not teaching about contraception and teaching abstinence instead)...

On the price front, the cost of university education in the Uk is probably far worse than the Us.
< could recommend some good art universities though :)
