Too bad <'s router is so far from <'s Wii U
< didn't knew the term existed in english, when < searched in the dictionnary, < founded "photographic", if you search "mémoire éidéique" in the rpc, you will see < talking a lot about it in the french forums.Acarr wrote:< says photographic memory doesn't exist. It's called eidetic memory.

Negative, some people still have eidetic memory after childhood, but < may have developed that capacity after an extremely violent shock to his head which almost fractured his cranium in a car accident eight years ago.Ambidextroid wrote:Eidetic memory only occurs in developing children, as a sort of proto-memory.
What you have, incog, is just a good memory.

No, < isn't disfigured at all, in fact, is looking completely normal.
It is more a curse than a superpower, hypermnesia attacks are very painful, < recently acquired the abilty to control them, but < can't when heavily drunk or when < ate peppermint.Bzzit wrote:< says damn that sucks bro, but it sounds like you got superpowers from it at leastincognito wrote:Negative, some people still have eidetic memory after childhood, but < may have developed that capacity after an extremely violent shock to his head which almost fractured his cranium in a car accident eight years ago.Ambidextroid wrote:Eidetic memory only occurs in developing children, as a sort of proto-memory.

There are cases where it's in adults but it's not very common. Basically all the "photographic memory" stories you've heard of.Ambidextroid wrote:< says that eidetic memory is caused by the way your memory develops, and some children's brains that have not yet developed proper memory have this pre-memory ability (eidetic memory), basically to 'fill in' and do a similar job until proper memory is formed.
<'s never heard of anyone keeping eidetic memory past childhood, but it surely wasn't caused by your accident (unless it's not eidetic and instead some other thing).
Still, if you do have it, good on ya.
That sounds horrible :/incognito wrote: <noticed peppermint essential oil had very weird effects on < it gives < panic attack when overdosed.
