I hope they port Rayman 3 to the 3DS and charge $100,000 for it so you have to mortgage your house.
I would just wait for used version even if this happened (which of course wont)

Sorry OCG but this is worth a new quotation. As it was said before, collectors are not forced to get the stuff "just because". I wouldn't have bought R3D if I couldn't find it for less than half of the retail price.
sonicbrawler182 wrote:
Nope.

We are living in an age where we get cheap deals on Steam, PSN, and the Nintendo eShop out the ass. Selling a bad port of a game, making it seem like a new game, or at least something that is heavily reworked, and then selling it at full price, is stupid, and cannot be defended. Especially when there are other ports on the market (GOG PC version of Rayman 2), that are an awful lot better, and sell for a much cheaper price. You cannot say Ubisoft can sell Rayman 3DS at the price they did and say it was OK. Heck, if I'm not mistaken, couldn't you pre-order Rayman Legends on Steam for twenty odd-dollars, and get the GOG PC version of Rayman 2, AND Rayman Origins completely free?
I agree with almost everything. The consumers of now are more aware to the prices than 10/20 years ago, but it is fully understandable since before the access to the internet wasn't easy nor cheap. Look how Steam is successful since it appeared with its prices and doing at least one discount per day in one (or more) videogames in its store. Steam also dares to do the Summer super discounts and it isn't because of that that we see them "burning". I know that in retail shops the prices are also to pay the workers of the shop plus to get profit (and other reasons that aren't linked with the shop that is selling the product), but are really the 50€ the real valour of the products or is it an opportunism for profit (Or asking this in other terms: how it is possible in UK the games lowing down the prices so quickly and in other places of Europe you often don't see the shops to touch a single cent even if the game is almost discontinued?) ? I honestly think that giving away 50€, sometimes 60 or even 70 for a new game isn't justifiable now when you have better alternatives by far in Amazon and eBay. Since I started to use these services, thanks to these I managed to save thousands of euros so far when comparing to the prices practiced in the retail stores of here (and the prices are very similar in Spain and France too). It is a shame there are still people that aren't informed enough about the benefits of the online purchases (as long they knew how to follow some security principles), otherwise I am sure people would start to turn their backs to the retail shops and it would awake the conscience of the national distributors of gaming about their pricing policy and re-think about this.

The attitude of "well they made it, so they can do what they want" is exactly what led to the removal of the DRM, since this was a decision Microsoft reached independently when they determined that the DRM would be harmful to their profit. They created the console, and they can do whatever they want with it. If you ever create something, you'll get to do whatever you want with it too.

But they reached that decision BECAUSE of the outcry of consumers who didn't believe they could "do whatever they wanted with it because they made it", and because consumers were boycotting their system. Microsoft wanted to carry through with that crap, and they would of if nobody spoke up. Heck, Don Matric even made snarky comments about consumers, saying that if we didn't want always online DRM, we should just "buy an Xbox 360". Sure enough, he got fired not long after. DRM was going to hurt their product because the consumers didn't want it, only the money hungry executives did.

Let's not forget that the DRM is still technically dormant in the Xbox One. You need to download a day-one patch that merely disables it, and they have already made a statement saying that their policies are subject to change at any time. Now tell me, if they really are totally against the DRM now, why are they leaving it dormant in the console, meaning they can patch it back on at any time?

Sure, you can do whatever you want when making a product, but as I've already said, economics is a thing. Anti-consumerism is also a thing. When making a product, you shouldn't just make whatever you want if you intend for it to be experienced by others, it needs to appeal to consumers, and consumers will call you out on your bullshit if you make something completely asinine. The consumer isn't ALWAYS in the right, but that's why there should be a balance between what the creator wants, and what the consumer wants, and not just having the "if I make it I can do what I want with it" mind set.

First place score is abound 28 secs. I'm only 4 secs off. I can beat that score if I tried hard enough.

That's the Wii U leaderboard you're talking about?
Hm, I never really tried in that stage, I just kind of legged it, and on my first completion I made second place. This was on launch day in Europe.

Then I got knocked down to 7th place sometime afterwards, and made 2nd again after trying the stage again for fun.

I'm talking about the Xbax 360 scores. I thought all consoles were linked with each other.

I don't believe they are linked leaderboard wise. I think they have the same Challenges each week/day though (except for the Wii U and Vita, which have the Murfy's Dungeon Challenges at times. And the Vita's Challenges are never the same as the other versions, ever).

Congratulations, Haruka.
I'm not sure if I will get to the goal of unlocking Rayomz as my older brother was quite tired on me playing it on the Wii U shortly after I completed the main campaign.

I hoping to get Rayomz before Sonic Lost World comes out. Although I'm currently at 760,000 lums, so I doubt that will happen.
