It's a known issue given the fact that this was a port developed by Ubisoft Shanghai.

Why is that?
I believe that is a serious programming error from the game, because for me it is also shown with that.

Ubisoft Shanghai... yes, this is enough. Those guys made lums in R2 3-dimensional and then were not sure why framerate dropped.

That looks surprisingly similar to what I estimated the R1 valley would look like.
It has a sort of valley through the middle of the island, with a river flowing through it...hell, that island in the bottom-right corner is in the perfect place for it to be Mr Dark's perch from the end of the R1 intro! Pity it doesn't have the six lands in their correct locations on it...

No, that part of the map is lower, in the real R1 map Bandland is on a very high and the Dream forest is much lower

I just dug out my old copy of Rayman Arena that I got for online play, is that still going on anymore?

I never knew there was online play for Rayman M or Arena.

For Rayman M not, now Arena... Does Arena has online? I don't think so.

Arena can be played on a local LAN network, but a couple of years ago we used a program that allowed us to play against each other over the internet.

Nice.

If anyone buys me Arena, I will happily play against them.

Didn't Droolie manage this? If so I would think the software would be free to download.

That's right, and a few people used it but when I tried to play him, the program didn't work on my old windows 2000 for some reason, but I'd love to try it now!

Here you can find some (or possibly all, although I doubt it, could someone check it?) Rayman Arena skins:

Does anybody know where I can find Rayman Arena (for the Gamecube or XBox, so not Rayman M) to download, to play via an emulator? A working link too, as all the links I've tried didn't work. If this is considered illegal, and if you guys don't like it, then sorry.

I would love to buy the Gamecube Rayman Arena and grab a PAL Freeloader to play on my Wii.

I actually asked this question years ago, but the link Xenon gave is no longer working...
Does there exist anywhere a no-cd patch for Rayman Arena (not M), because it really is a pain to have to put in disc 1 then 2 every single time I want to play.. plus my PC doesn't recognise cds, so I have to use an external drive, or make dvd copies, and I could blabber on forever but I wont XD, so is there a patch?

You could use DAEMON tools to run ISO images of the cds on your computer.

So, there isn't a working Rayman Arena for the Gamecube (or Xbox, or PS2, if they are the same with Dark Globox and Dark Rayman and all those different skins for everyone) avaible for download? At least not on the first 10 pages of Google...And I've searched on like 10 / 20 different keywords...

I have the file, but I don't remember where I downloaded it.

Haruka, that's a fantastic idea, I downloaded Daemon recently anyway, but I think it's just a trial, does the full version cost money?

Most likely.
